Dan, Did you ever find the root cause of the excessive cranking? My 22 LT is doing the same…

Well I am here to report some findings: I do hear something powering off when I shut the hood, so after my battery died from having the hood open I decided to charge it over night and shut the hood. I've checked it 24 hours, 48 hours and 72 hours later now...full battery. So something must draw the battery down with the hood open - figured I'd share so nobody else makes that same mistake!

6.6 Gas Chevy LT 2500HD Question: I had the hood open for a couple days and when I went to try and start the pickup it was dead. I figured I could leave it open as there was no courtesy light underneath the hood. Is there something that would drain the battery by leaving the hood open? Thanks!
