  1. 51 days...oh boy, that doesn't bode well for me or others that are waiting on the same thing. I've been in constant contact with GMCS as well, no idea if that effort will move the needle. When you get yours back, Stan, please share the VB part number from the work order. Dan
  2. Do you know what the P/N's are for the old and new valve bodies, ND? As I mentioned above, my dealer diag'd the problem as the valve body, and I believe I've read that there is a revised VB, which carries a different P/N than the original VB. If true, I'd really like to ensure the new/revised VB is installed. Thanks much, Dan
  3. Steve, I had my 2023 for less than 24 hours before the failure. I feel your pain. Did you open a case with GM? Send an email to [email protected], include your VIN, name and location of the dealer the truck is at, and request a case be opened. DD, what recall notice are you referring to? From what I've read there doesn't appear to be an active recall for the 10 speeds. Dan
  4. I don't know if it applies to the 2022's, might be for only the refreshed trucks, but there is a software update available for the Serial Data Gateway Module. From what I've read the update prevents certain things from draining the battery after the truck has been turned off.
  5. It is a frustrating situation, Michael. While I understand that sometimes a particular part may need to be ordered from GM by the dealer, given the magnitude of this issue and knowing GM is aware of it, the lack of an ETA is vexing. I mean, someone at GM knows when replacement valve bodies will be produced and shipped. I have to guess that the dealers don't want customer vehicles piling up in their lots for weeks so the dealers should be hounding GM too. I would hope they are. I did open a case with GM Customer Service via email, and they have replied twice. While they did not provide an ETA they did say they'd contact the servicing dealer on my behalf. I received that email this past Friday evening but nothing more as of this writing. I also asked about the part numbers for the valve body, old and new, because I'd like to verify the newest is installed, but they referred me to the dealer.
  6. BTW, since most here are of the same mind that GM should perhaps be issuing a recall everyone can do their part towards that end by filing a complaint with NHTSA. Needless to say, NHTSA is unlikely to act based on only a handful of complaints, but if they are flooded with them they're more likely to at least start looking. Here's their main page; Check for Recalls: Vehicle, Car Seat, Tire, Equipment | NHTSA Once there look at the top right corner and click on "Report a Safety Problem" You'll need your VIN. When presented with the list of available problem areas choose "Power Train".
  7. Just signed up to be a part of all the fun you folks are having. 2023 HC with 20K miles on it. On 11/30 received the dreaded "Reduced Power" message, quickly followed by "Service Transmission Now Unable to Shift Soon", which was quickly followed by "Service Transmission". Dropped it at the dealer on 12/1 and the SA advised they are pretty backed up with transmission work. Shocking. Received a text from the SA today, 12/12, saying they were finally able to diagnose the problem and it needs a VB, the part is on BO, no ETA. Super. I'll go through the drill of opening a case with GM and will probably reach out to NHTSA to file a complaint.
