  1. Only have a couple of local GMC dealers. Online search says that dealers do not have to honor the discount and my cousin verified. I could call around the other dealers in VT but prefer my local dealer as I go there for oil/filter changes, service and is easy to get there.
  2. That sux. Hopefully it goes through. I talked to one of my cousins the other day who was an exec at GM about getting a friends and family discount. Then called the sales guy and they won’t honor it. My cousin told me she can make a phone call to push my order through. I’m going to take her up on that if it looks like it’s going to take forever.
  3. Nice. I built 2023 and 2024 1500 AT4s with 6.2L and 6.5’ bed and it’s only $2k or so difference than the 2500HD AT4 I ordered and they have DFM and start/stop. Can always press the start/stop button every time you start the truck but can’t change the DFM, at least not conveniently.
  4. Ordered a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4 today. 6.6L Gas, Sterling Metallic, AT4 Preferred Package, Snow Plow Prep/Camper Package, Gooseneck/5th Wheel Prep Package, 700 CCA Aux Battery. I won’t be plowing or using the gooseneck/5th wheel hitch but figured for less $1000 now it will be easier to sell than a 2500HD without any options. Will add running boards and an ARE cap when it arrives. Sales guy said it will take 4 months. We’ll see! Reason I ordered was so I can get through hunting season, most of winter and get what I want. Have had a few older 2500 trucks in the past and mostly 1500 trucks since then. Do not need a 2500HD to tow my boat but like the lack of cylinder deactivation and stop/start.
  5. Great write up and nice truck! I’d like to get a 24 AT HD in February or March. Currently have a 2018 GMC 1500 DC 6.5’ box but want an HD gasser, no cylinder deactivation or start/stop. Don’t need an HD but like them. Going to call the dealer tomorrow to get an order started if my sales guy is in. Need to get through hunting season then will have time to get an ARE cap ordered and installed. How do like the running boards? I’m on the fence between those or the wider ones that sit a couple of inches lower. Yours are definitely slick looking.
  6. That camera that attaches to the rear of the cap looks like it would be a snow magnet here in VT. Does the truck need that view for seeing the top down view? My plan is to replace my 2018 GMC Sierra SLE with a 2024 GMC Sierra AT4 2500HD early next year and always get an ARE cap on my trucks.
  7. NLB, ARE has a picture gallery at their website showing different models of trucks with their caps on them.
  8. Posted the other day that I had an ARE CX series cap and Onyx spray in bed liner. Dealer washed my truck after performing the recall yesterday. Truck won't stay clean for long. EDIT: Also installed front Weather Tech floor mats.
  9. Had an Onyx spray in bed liner and ARE CX series cap installed today. No pics yet........-5*F tonight and truck has been white with salt since the day after I bought it. Will post pics when winter is finally over.
  10. I'm on my third GM truck with Auto 4WD and they all have worked seamless. The weather here sucked when I picked up my 2014 a little over 2 weeks ago and I kept Auto 4WD on for a week. I didn't get very good mpg, but didn't care as long as I could keep it between the ditches! I keep my suspensions stock, no lifts or over sized tires.
