  1. Just went out and checked and I do have the 2 vertical holes in stake pocket for bracket to go through. However the third hole to the right isn’t threaded; just an open hole. It’s to the right above the top anchor point.
  2. awesome, thanks Jon! Looking at the picture and the parts pictures I see now the bracket would go in the stake pocket and the 2 studs would come through the openings in the bedside and 2 nuts would then thread onto the studs to bolt in place. Is there a third bolt that goes in the handle assembly to the right?
  3. Wonder what to search for or what this handle is actually called or if anyone has the part # for it? It's the flip up oem handle in the bed. I'd like to add one to my truck as there is nothing to grab onto when trying to climb into the bed. Thanks in advance for any replies.
  4. are you talking about the rear panel of the center console that houses the rear vents? If so that's what I've been wanting to confirm myself as I'm wanting to cut a hole in the middle of it to add USB and 12v plug to mine. I believe it just pops off with a trim tool, but I'm not 100%. I'll be giving it a try for install when my USB ports and 12v plug arrive.
  5. The hits just keep coming. Jumped in the truck last night to run into town. Service 4wd message comes on and parking brake started automatically setting every time truck was put in Park. I admitted defeat and as soon as I got home I removed the steering wheel and completely disassembled both wheels and swapped over all the wiring and controls from my old wheel to the leather wrapped wheel. Reinstalled and all is well. Guess I'll be settling for addition of leather wrapped only. Guess it's better than nothing. For those of you actually still following along, thanks for riding along through the ups and downs of this drama fest.
  6. awesome, that was a great video. Good to know the front seats don't have to come out to install the jump seat like on prior gen trucks. I've been looking into the swaps both ways just to get an idea of what wiring was involved as I'm trying to add power to the rear of my jump seat for usb/12v plug since my Custom model doesn't have anything back there from factory.
  7. At this point I’d be happy to have the other buttons on left side work like they’re supposed to. Not sure what the deal is. Only thing I can think to do now is take it back off and disassemble both wheels and swap the buttons and wiring over to the leather wrapped wheel and see if everything works then and just do without the heated wheel button all together.
  8. It’s actually a 2500HD. I posted over on the HD forum but didn’t get any responses. Seems like more 1500’s have done the swap so thought I’d try over here.
  9. I'm guessing no progress has been made on this? I just added leather wrapped wheel w/ heat option to my 22' Custom. I'm having odd issue on mine where the left controls (cruise and collision avoidance buttons) work when the ignition is in the "run" position but truck not actually running. When the truck is started they will not work. The radio scan buttons on back left of wheel work, and all the right side buttons work, just no go on the cruise or collision avoidance. I don't get it. Anyone else had this come up? The wheel I got is brand new also. I'm stumped. Guess I need to figure out how to get them working correctly before worrying about the heat button.
  10. cool thanks. Got it on the way. Guess I'll add this to the list of things to do this weekend along with screwing around with the dang steering wheel.
  11. I love the fact that the Husky liners come down and cover the frame as where the oem liners do not. However, I think it would bother me that the finish material of the Husky liners is different than the front liners. I'm not super excited about the oem rear liners I have on my truck, but I do like that they are complete match to the fronts. I went with some plastic frame plugs to atleast hide the crossmember openings that were visible. I'm curious to see how the 2 hold up over time in comparison.
  12. First I've seen/heard of the Moog idler arm hose kit. If I'm seeing it right does this just act as a remote grease point that's easier to get to? Interesting. Your receiver mount turned out perfect. That sure will come in handy.
  13. got the truck out on the interstate this morning and tried to set cruise control and it doesn't work either, so frustrating. It doesn't make any sense why the buttons work with the truck off, with key in the run position, but not while the truck is actually running. Cruise indicator even comes on while key is in run position, but not when truck is running. I guess I'm going to pull the wheel and completely disassemble both wheels and swap over the wiring and components. Looks like I have another weekend project. I shoulda known better when I was able to get it installed so easily.
  14. Yeah I’m gonna go ahead and need some links to those fastners and net. Please and thanks. Looks awesome for some quick and easy to reach storage. I think that will be perfect for my kids when we’re traveling to store some items in instead of it all rolling around the floor and they tromping on it every time we stop and get in and out.
  15. SOLD! Please delete.
  16. the seat belt for the jump seat is built into the seat, so you're good there. I believe you take the seats out and the jump seat base uses the same mounting points as the seat bases. You'd obviously have vent hookups already from having the center console, but I'm unsure of what connections would be different between the console vents vs jump seat vents. Sorry I couldn't be of much help, but I don't think it would be too bad of a swap for you; it's going the reverse direction that people have more trouble with locating all the parts to swap to full console. Once you pull console out I believe you'll need a different lower dash trim piece as well. Look through the modification section in the 2019-2023 half ton threads. I know there are some posts in there about making the swap that could help you some.
  17. Yeah I’ve been eyeing up the cluster swap. I’m holding off for now though. Currently working on color matched High Country front end swap so probably good for awhile.
  18. yep, I completely agree. If I was daily driving it I may have been a little more apt to getting higher trim level for more creature comforts; but I only drive it a few times a month. Like you, everything I've added for the most part I would have added to an LT as most of it has been appearance stuff. I'm still in my truck for less than the next higher up trim level pkg.
  19. I've seen leather wrap kits on good ole Fleabay and Amazon but who knows what the actual quality is. I'd love it if mine telescoped out a bit more. My buddy that has body shop that I've had do all my colormatching keeps joking saying I should have just bought a higher optioned truck.
  20. Yep, we've had a tradition for the past atleast 10 yrs that I can remember on m wife's birthday in June we go there. There is a pizza place right down the road from the drive-in that we stop and get pizza at and take to the movie with us. That's our guaranteed 1 drive-in outing per year at minimum.
  21. I considered the wrap with sewing kit but ended up finding this one for $125 which I didn’t think was bad. i guess I could take it apart and switch my controls over to the leather wheel and see what that does. Ehh maybe someday. It only gets driven a few times a month.
  22. Ok, So atleast that part is right. I must have been thinking of my wifes car that light up green. Guess I’ll just have to roll with it; no idea what else to do to change that and I’m not going back to the old wheel.
  23. That’s what I thought. So weird. Guess I’ll get it set to what I want it and leave it then. also, do the 3 blocks light up green when you’re selecting the distance or are they grey? I thought they were green before, but are grey now on my screen.
  24. got a chance to actually drive the truck today and I noticed that the Forward Collision Gap adjust button doesn't work while the truck is running, I can only change the gap while the truck is turned off with the key in the run position. I've only hit that button 2 or 3 times since owning the truck but I coulda swore It could be adjusted anytime while driving before swapping steering wheels. Weird. Is that the case or has it always been like that and I'm just remembering wrong? Can someone else with that option chime in to confirm?
  25. we have a drive-in about 10 minutes from our house in Southern, Indiana. Usually take the kids a couple of times during the summer. I always back into spot and we lay in the bed of truck with tailgate down. Hardest part is climbing in and out of the bed with the drop off below on the hillside. The one we go to still has the speakers on the poles, so we can sit it up on the folded up bedcover by our heads and hear perfectly.
