  1. how do you force close xm, ? will be a while before I drive my truck,, got rearended this afternoon,,
  2. I have a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 with 3.0 diesel, Sometimes when I shut the truck off and then get back and start it up,, the radio says the satellite is lost, trying to reconnect, but it won't until I shut the motor off and get out of the truck or at least wait at least 2 minutes or more with the motor and radio off,, then restart and the radio works fine,, this only happens with xm,, fm and am work fine,, I have contacted my dealer and they say it must be xm,,, contacted xm,, they say it must them the radio, It doesn't do this all the time,, just once in a while,,, no matter how long I drive with it saying it is trying to reconnect, it never does,, wondering, Am I the only one having this problem? Not sure who to talk to next,,, any ideas? Thanks
  3. It has been in for service, but no idea if it was done there,, I will just get the other one out and use it, if I can't find a cheap one on e bay and swap out the cards.
  4. nope,,, no dog..or cat or kids at home. LOL
  5. It is still brand new,,never been used,, will prob get it out and use it,, put this one away for just in case.
  6. How do you move the card from one to the other,, do the chrome pieces pop off then the 2 halves come apart? Thanks
  7. nope,,, wondering,, looking at your pic of your truck,, does the GMC not have the door handles on the outside of the 14 double cabs like the chevy does?
  8. I thought about that,, can't recall using any bug spray,,, am very careful about deek as I have a high end digtal slr camera and I know what it does to plastics. Guess I will just have to find one and have my dealer reprogram it,, unless I can figure out how to take the card of of this one and put in a new case.
  9. I would like to thank most everyone that responded, In response to the one that accused me of WILLFULLY ABUSING, I did nothing to abuse it. I have no idea why it looks like it does, but I agree,, it is not normal, but has not abused,, I just was asking if anyone else had this problem,, I seems that there isn't,, so will drop the subject and move on. I don't really care to be accused of doing something that I know that I did not do, at least on purpose.
  10. I thought it was a dealer only to program a remote.
  11. nope,, no batteries, no gloves, no burning houses, not an alien, I try not to work up a sweat, this is the first remote I have had that did this,, about my 4th truck with a remote. No idea what caused it.. guess I am stuck buying another one. thanks everyone
  12. I lift very few heavy things,, retired,,, so I lift a beer now and then and maybe a fishing pole. It is mainly just the buttons that are sinking in. Not sure I have seen a case for a fob and hate having something hanging on my belt
  13. the buttons still work,, but not sure how much longer,, I still have the other original that is brand new,, but thinking they shouldn't wear out so soon. Wife doesn't need a key,, she has her own car.
  14. I have a 2014 LTZ 1500,, About 21,000 miles on it.. The buttons on the key fob are pretty much trashed,, Key is either in my pocket or the truck,, My dealer said they would not even submit it to GM for warranty, because they said they would be told it was abused,, If pushing the buttons to lock and unlock are abuse, I must have a different idea of what abuse is.. Has anyone else had their fob wear like this. I was told by the dealer it would be over $200 for the fob and programing.. way more than I want to spend on a remote.
  15. works great,, not sure how,, but no more banging the tailgate when you open it and let go.
