  1. Wow.... bringing up this old topic, but I never found an answer to the original question. Where is the cabin air intake? I changed out the cabin filter and found stems, whole leaves, lots of debris. I don't understand how those get inside the intake. There certainly are no openings that large by the wipe cowling where they could simply fall in. The only area that seems to collect large leaves is in front on the radiator area, at the bottom part of the grill. Lots of branches and large leaves trapped there. Does anyone have an old service manual with a diagram of the HVAC?
  2. OK, I honestly don't know... do these solve the issues we've been having?: poor reach-out-and-touch, awful left side illumination. I just haven't heard or read anyone mention the SLT/Denali LED lamps. Doesn't mean anything... as much interest and traffic there has been on the lighting, I'm sure I missed some things. EDIT: Nevermind... I thought these were lamps with LED headlamp illumination. My bad...
  3. weird message editing. Not sure what happened. Sorry about the multiple messages.
  4. I'm getting 19mpg at about 65mph and can get that even at 70mph, but I'm really working it with minimal accelerator touch. 20 to 21mpg can easily be had at 55mph average. That's with 18'' wheels and Michelin tires, not the Goodyear Wranglers. I think as I put more miles on this truck, I'll get a bit more MPG as things begin to loosen up. 3000 miles currently. 6. Only problem I have with adding ear-pleasing aftermarket exhausts is that they don't play well, sound-wise, with the switch to 4-cylinder mode. Doesn't sound natural.
  7. Go here http: //www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=vBOmC3V_O-g Delete the blank I inserted after http: I had to insert that to keep the embedded video player from automatically popping up.

  9. I ran the AMPs for the nearly three years that I had my 2011 GMC crew cab. Although they are not "sticking out," they do protect the underside of the rocker panel when folded up. No rock chips, etc., on the lower door panel, rocker panel.
  10. On the 2011 GMC I just traded in for my 2014, I had AMP Research Power Steps with their PowerSteps. These electrically unfold from the vehicle when the door is opened, and then fold in when the door is closed. They are pricey, but they are professional, and are at a balanced height. My 2014 GMC has the factory boards and I don't like them. Their height is wrong, and they are just not located in a way that works for me. I have to fold my body to enter the pickup when I use them. But, the AMPs are just right. As soon as the weather becomes civil, I'll be removing the factory running boards from my 2014.
  11. Great job on the "sticky" quote, Silverado! You done well...
