Or just tape them off and hit them with multiple coats of plastidip. You can build up a few coats to make them totally opaque and then peel it off if you don't like it.

Is the 250A alternator necessary to run the revised dual battery setup, or is the 170A sufficient?

This is a great writeup! I'm wanting to install on-board air and thinking of going with the single compressor (ARB CKMA12) mounted in the second battery bay under the hood (I only have a single battery setup). I will use it almost exclusively for filling tires on the truck and travel trailer, and occasionally a SUP or inflatable raft. It would only ever be used with the truck running or in ACC and with the hood open. It would never run with the hood closed. Any issues with that location - being exposed to engine bay temperatures for prolonged drives when not in use - or any other reason?

Good look on yours. How does your rig handle on the sand? My wife is big on beach driving, but I am hesitant to throw this heavy of a truck onto the beach. I did pick up some traction boards in case it starts to bury.

I'm buying a used truck that's coming from out of state and need to tow with it the following day, so I don't want to bank on that still being with the vehicle. I'd rather have to return one if it is.

I have a 2020 Silverado 2500HD being delivered to me on Friday and I'm going to need to tow with it almost immediately. I just had an epiphany that my 2" hitches are not going to work with the 2.5" receiver on an HD and I need to purchase a reducer sleeve before my truck arrives. I'd prefer one of the sleeves with the flange on the front so it is not free-sliding in the receiver (particularly when trying to wrangle my weight distribution hitch into place while getting all 3/6 holes aligned). That said, does anyone know the distance from the front face of the receiver hitch to the center of the hitch pin hole, or would someone mind kindly measuring theirs for me? That way I can hopefully find a sleeve with both the flange and correct spacing. Thank you

Thanks, just ordered the same as you for front low/high and the rear! How did you orient the front leds? I'm reading some people recommend installing them vertically, others at 9&3 o'clock. Don't want to blind other drivers and it sounds like you've accomplished that.

I ran through the educator website and called two dealerships with the info. Both said that the HD trucks are flagged on their system as not being eligible for educator discount due to supply constraints. I called a 3rd dealership (in California) that popped up after the educator configuration and they were marking the HDs up $5k over msrp with no educator discount - even though the truck was in stock and listed via the educator website at a far far lower price.

Did you have to use a canbus with the Fahren headlights? Or were they good to go as-is without tripping up the computer?
