  1. Aftermarket. Anchor if I remember correctly. I mount the shaft in a vise then use pvc pipe the same size as the inner race to tap it back into place. I have a GM bearing on order for the replacement this time.
  2. The truck in question is a 2004 2500HD 6.0 2WD I have replaced the carrier bearing twice in the last year and by the sound it is going out again. It is the actual bearings that are the problem - the rubber surrounding it is intact. I don't have any noticeable driveline vibration. I don't abuse the truck. All ujoints are good. Any ideas that would help me determine what is causing this?
