  1. 4" BDS lift with fox shocks. 20x10 wheels, -24 offset and 34" ridge grapplers (295/60/20). Front wheels took a 1/4" wheel spacer to clear the caliper. I tried 35s and they didn't fit, would've required massive bumper trimming. The 34s still required trimming the plastic, removing the front mud flaps, and trimming the inside lower corner of the metal bumper to eliminate all rubbing. Once I wear these tires out I will probably go with the 35s and trim the bumper more, but wasn't prepared to cut it yet on a brand new truck.
  2. Antone having any issues with the 6.2. Im close to getting mine bought back, Im not willing to drop another 15k on a 2500 so looks like Im gambling with another 1500. Maybe a more recent build date and a different engine will eliminate some possible issues.
  3. I actually had a sidewall blowout that kicked all of my issues off. I had them start looking at the vibration when I brought it to get a new tire.
  4. Lemon law in Louisiana states that deduction for reasonable use only applies to a refund, not replacement and it states that specifically. The dealer has been adamant they are going to deduct for depreciation, I sent him a PDF of the law and he said he would get back with the gm rep he is dealing with. I may end up getting a lemon law attorney if they stick to deducting for mileage. I shouldn't have to pay 5 grand to get a truck that works or just live with my defective one.
  5. how many miles did you have. I am not optimistic at all. Did you swap for the exact truck with same msrp? Im only prepared to pay the difference for any extra option it may have over my old one and thats it.
  6. They are working up numbers as we speak, they havent told me for sure, but Im not paying a dime out of pocket for the exact same truck. Ill leave my other in the shop first until every nut and bolt has been replaced, they can decide whats more cost effective.
  7. For you guys that got buybacks. What did they do about mileage, did you have to pay anything out of pocket. They are telling it may be .35 cents a mile, with almost 14 k miles I'm looking at 5 grand if they do that. Also the msrp has apparently increased 1600 bucks since last October so my same truck is now 1600 bucks more. Add whatever interest I've paid since purchase I'm poised to lose big on this deal.
  8. Get the dealership to do it at their cost. They had an alignment done at an independent shop on mine. Also RF balanced the tires at an independent shop.
  9. They are actually about to repalce the shocks on mine. Front wheel bearings were not an issue as they previosuly thought. Im pursuing a buyback so I honestly dont care what they do at this point and if it fixes it. No idea what Im going to swap it for.
  10. I thought about holding a clear glass of water on the steering wheel to see how that translates to video.
  11. I'll be sure to ignore the rest of your posts about unrelated issues as everyone else in this thread has already chosen to do. In your 2 argumentative posts you've already exhausted me and made me realize my mistake in responding. Good luck getting it fixed.
  12. Yes especially since you quoted it and they are right next to each other. I was reffering to both of of them, you are BOTH having problems nobody else in this entire thread is having and I have read it all. Nobody said brakes either discs/rotors are not brakes.
  13. These sound like totally different issues. For all of the problems with mine it stops on a dime with no shudder. I would first say warped discs but if it goes away when in neutral you may be looking at a transmission issue.
  14. How many miles did you have on yours when they bought it back? Ive officially requested a buyback today from GM and from the dealership owner. Awaiting to hear the verdict. Why did you go with another sierra? I told them I would consider buying some other GM vehicle but most likely not another sierra, silverado or anything else that shares drivetrain parts with these trucks. I don't want to be back in the same boat in a few thousand miles.
  15. Ive been wondering the exact same thing, that this is just how they are. Ive driven 3 now, mine, the loaner, and an identical z71 off the lot with 4 miles on it. They all feel about the same at speeds up to 70. There is steering wheel and seat vibration, I wonder if Im now just hyper sensitive to every little bump and if it actually is normal. I would love to drive somebodies truck that says its "smooth as glass". One difference however is i have a vibration and noise associated with speeds above 72 that is different on mine. But if thats fixed I guess I may be ready to call all the other vibrations normal since every 2014 Ive driven feels that way.
