  1. Here's my input and hopefully it helps. Right after purchasing my CPO 2019 LTZ, I had two symptoms. One was that it felt I was being bumped from behind when I stopped (i.e. hard downshift to first). The second was what felt like rapid shifting twice from one gear to the next, and it would sometimes lunge and buck when shifting. My local dealer did the trans control module update for the first symptom, and that issue is completely gone. They performed a fluid change for the second symptom under TSB 19-NA-121 (torque converter shudder). Shifting has dramatically improved and I don't feel any shifting issues so far. They said to wait 200 miles for it to be completely addressed. Update: Ever since I had the trans control module reprogrammed, I've been getting better gas mileage. With my mix of city / hwy driving, my average was previously 18.8. After a few weeks of driving it after this reprogram, I'm consistently getting 19.3 under the same driving conditions.
  2. Found data on the prior gen trucks, and it ranged from 54 to 64 ft lbs. Feels about right based on removing the bolts, so I torqued to 64 for now. Supposed to get actual numbers from dealer when I take it in next week.
  3. Just installed nerf bars on my 2019 Silverado, can someone confirm the correct torque spec for the body bolts? My searches only found this information for older generation trucks.
  4. For the longest time, I have always replaced just the rubber insert. But over the past few years, the rubber inserts are getting harder to find. And now there are multiple widths. Costs a little more, but much easier to just replace the entire blade assembly.
  5. Price reduced to $400 to help offset shipping.
  6. Just purchased a 2019 LTZ 5.3 with 8 speed, only 5k miles on it. Two symptoms. One is that the trans doesn't shift smoothly. During slow or moderate acceleration, it seems to hunt for or shift back and forth between the low gears (e.g. 2, 3, 4). Secondly, when I come to a stop, it literally feels like someone gently rear-ended me. Called local dealer, they said first step is to change fluid, if that doesn't solve it, next step is to replace parts (I believe beginning with the TC). Think I'll let them do the fluid change first, then maybe try the relearn.
  7. Genuine GM chrome assist steps (side steps, running boards) with black step pads for 2019 - 2021 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra crew cab short bed trucks. Includes all mounting hardware. Cost $850 new from GM. $450 plus shipping from 77386.
  8. On the 2019 Silverado, the Trailer Tire Pressure Monitor System is a part of the Advanced Trailering Package (RPO code U1D). The package is standard on the LTZ and High Country models, and is available on LT, RST and LT Trail Boss models. 9. Completely agree that the default for auto-start-stop should be "OFF", but then CAFE wouldn't pass the increasingly stringent EPA MPG requirements, or even better, the liberal-minded EPA would apply some type of "facilitating payment"...
  10. GM PN: 84152501 Four (4) trailer tire pressure monitors that came with my 2019 Silverado that I just purchased (CPO). New, in the bag, never used, and I don't foresee needing them. $100 plus shipping from 77386
  11. While first working the deal over the phone, I asked a lot of questions about the original owner, why he traded this truck with only 5k miles on it, what he traded for, etc. Reading between the lines, I think they gave the original owner a lowball trade in value.
  12. High 30s, truck has 5k miles on it. Prior owner purchased it from the same dealership where I purchased it, just didn't drive it, then traded for a 2021 Tahoe in early Jan.
  13. Guess I may have been an exception here. Been looking at 2020 LTZ models with sunroof on sale since mid-January, and even with all the incentives on them, I saved double digits (5 figures).
  14. Yes. I would have thought the warranty would start at the in service date, but they showed me that it starts at the delivery date. For my truck, the difference was only about 2 weeks. "The Bumper-to-Bumper New Vehicle Limited Warranty covers vehicles registered in the U.S. from the date the vehicle is first delivered until it reaches 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first." 15. Long time member, just bought a CPO 2019 LTZ CC on Saturday. Here's one of the dealer pics...
  16. It has a little over a year left on the factory warranty. The CPO added 12 mo / 12k miles to the bumper to bumper warranty, and extended the powertrain to 6 years / 100k miles with roadside assistance. There were other perks as well, but these were the warranty related benefits. https://www.gmcertified.com/certified-vs-used
  17. Thanks btj_z71. The mods actually begin today (day after purchase), starting with making the front bowtie black! I like the illumination kit and may do that as well. More mods coming over time. One thing I liked about my Grand Cherokee Overland was the interior lighting. It had subtle LED lights for the lower door pockets, around the center console cup holders, and a few other places that the Silverado has no lighting. Maybe, after the warranty expires, I'll play with that as well...
  18. I've been watching prices for several months, and the right deal came for me to pull the trigger. Time to go from two vehicles (Grand Cherokee Overland and 2005 Silverado LT) to one. Traded in my Grand Cherokee for a CPO one-owner 2019 LTZ 5.3L with 5K miles on it. Why this one? Hard to find the color (silver or satin steel with black interior) and options I wanted (LTZ II package, Texas edition, sunroof). I was on a budget, had all of my figures known before shopping. After much negotiation, Norman Frede Chevrolet gave me a deal nobody else could touch. I love the truck so far, and am surprised how much larger (longer, wider, and especially taller) it is than by 2005 Silvy. Got 24mpg driving home at 70 to 75 mph (all highway) on mostly flat roads (Houston, TX area). Lookin forward to learning from and contributing to this great forum.
  19. Personally I prefer the look and feel of a floor shifter. Column shifters provide for more space on the console, but just look and feel so outdated. And after experiencing push button start and the ability to unlock by simply touching a button or grabbing the exterior door handle, I don't want keys anymore.
