My tent isn't very waterproof and even less wind proof. Nothing like wet, cold wind blowing in all night. I hate camping. I want to buy a damn camper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pansy We camped labor weekend through a few storms. Our tent was under giant oak trees. I was pretty scared I even looked up hotel rooms but my wife wouldn't budge oh we'll we got through it. This year we will be camping with a 2 and a half year old and a 3 month old uh oh Ryan Camping in the rain stucks and nothing will change that. I did it dozens of times as a kid with cub/boy scouts as I think the troop was cursed. I'd be lots happier with better equipment too- like a tent I can stand up in, a air mattress that is longer than I am tall, etc. Or a camper trailer.

I got mine for tomorrow (today ). Friday was my first time driving the dunes, I've always been a passenger in the past. Got stuck and nearly put a tree into the bed but with some careful winching and pulling I got out with a scratch on the door from a bush that will buff out. Sunday's are always up in the air for me too, usually because most of the toy's are broken by Saturday afternoon More often than not Sundays are up in the air with this crew because of the stuff that goes on Saturday night.

Depending on how everything goes with the drive out a few of us should be on the dunes this afternoon and most of the day tomorrow. Sunday is always up in the air because people usually end up heading home after breakfast.

Most of the guys I'll be there with have ZR2s and obviously my truck is pretty distinctive with the tow mirrors. If ya see the group, stop by- I'd totally win some cool points if some random girl stops by to ask about me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That pic was taken two years ago at about this time of month. That was the Friday of our trip and even though it looked clear, it was extremely windy and sand was blowing everywhere. That was the last pic I got before my cheap camera ingested some sand into the zoom motor and it died.

Today, got the oil changed and the tires rotated. Now I'm packing my things to go here for the weekend:

Never rode an atv at the dunes but I have to imagine a truck is more comfy- full seat, less work to operate, quieter/smoother and you get air conditioning and a radio! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sarah we talked about that as my friend and I both thought the same thing but it is a 1/2" hole which is what the flags are so I guess it will be a mystery till Friday! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

With the help of a friend I got my flag mount for Silver Lake painted and on the truck: And debadged the tailgate: Also swapped some 285s from his sisters truck onto mine and I can confirm a set of worn 285s barely, barely fit. We're talking millimeters between the fender liner and tire stuffed and turned. But they do fit! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah mine was similar I think- the bottom on mine would be 2 drawers where the big space is on that and my top might have been a tiny bit taller/more drawers. No closeups but here's a pic from my past life:

Craftsman is hit or miss I found. Before I took this job it worked in the shop at a dealership and I started working out of a couple Craftsman boxes- one 5-drawer workstation sort of thing and a smaller chest on top of that. The small chest was fairly decent but the big one couldn't take weight at all. When drawers were closed the big one that had my air tools would always fall off it's tracks and jam crap up. I ended up buying a big Matco box which of course is loads nicer but it also cost a pile of money and now it just sits in my brothers barn back in NH.

I'll be there the weekend of June 15th. Might not get on the dunes Friday as I'm towing up a friends truck and I may not arrive early enough. As for tires, you'd be surprised- my first trip there was in 2008 riding with a friend who had bald MTs on a ZR2 S10 and he went everywhere.
