    Exactly why I wouldn't go on a holiday weekend. I wish it was closer cause 3 hours each way is a bit too much to make a day trip out of but in the end with as busy as crap has been for me I doubt I'll have much free time till the weekend a bunch of us are planning in June anyhow. Same after that. Headed to St. Ignace a couple weeks after that, back east to visit the parents and friends in the end of July all around the work schedule. Blah. I need to clone myself and make the other one do all the work stuff so I have time to go out and have fun more often.

    Not a thing. No trips till Wednesday so I work from home today and tomorrow. Didn't go anywhere, truck was parked all day.

    Trust me I'm the same but what I was getting at is how I don't like seeing what was cutting edge when I was a kid being considered obsolete. Makes me realize I'm getting old.

    That crap isn't even funny man- before I moved I was watching my friends kid one day (he's 7) and he was trying to find something to watch on TV and he passed by some show that had a person on like a mid-90s cell phone (not the comically huge 80s ones) and my friends kid asked what it was and he did not believe me that it was a cell phone- "That isn't a cell phone Mike. Phones can play angry birds, you know that."

    That is surprising considering you can get parts long after a model stops being made. I'm guessing this supplier went belly up? Probably the same thing with the supplier of the retractable roof on those Envoys. I heard that venture killed the company.

    DRLs only work in gear. Put the truck in drive and I think you can set the parking brake and still have them work. I did this with the key on/engine off to check mine on my 2003. I think. Traded it in 2008 so it's been a while.

    Well Wikipedia is edited by anyone and everyone so it isn't exactly a surprise that it's wrong every now and then.

    The Vortec Max is only the high output 6.0. The 6.2 doesn't have a special name.

    Damn, you're getting better mileage than I do with my 5.3! I'm guessing my locking out 5th/6th gear in town is what kills me but it drives better that way.

    Couple new ones with the snow gone (as of yesterday at least- it's back today ). Also installed tow mirrors, tonneau (not really seen in these pics) and I pulled the airdam.

    Yeah because an internet forum like this is an accurate representation of the hundreds of thousands of trucks GM sells. Truck has an appointment at the dealer first thing Monday.

    Barely 1000 miles on my truck and on cold starts it belches blue smoke for a second. Dipstick shows a quart low though I do not know if it was full to begin with. Going to see if it persists over the weekend and then I'm probably going to have to bring it to the dealer. Not happy at all about a brand new truck possibly needing major engine work.

    I'd be real surprised if anything related to the tune could cause faults in the TC/ESC system. Get to an Autozone and have the codes read or call OnStar if you have a subscription to get code info.
