I have tried every blend of octane and nothin changes my idle vibrations can somebody please post the link that has the TSB info for the engine shim procedure ? my truck is vibrating just sitting in the driveway idling . I am so sick of this crap! I have searched high and low and cant find the tsb code and my dealer is acting like they cant find anything like usual .

mine vibrates all the time while going down the road and sitting in the driveway. but it does get worse the faster I drive

I am back . I posted some videos and links on youtube involving my truck and its shaking and vibrating a couple months back . I had some luck with limiting my shaking on the highway. did a lot of tire balancing and re balancing at a couple different tire shops!! had the driveshaft replaced too . I just got tired of trying to get it completely fixed. I just drive slower and turn the music up louder. so anyways I have been noticing my truck seems to be vibrating worse when idling so when I took it in for an oil change I asked if they could perform the 3mm shim to see if that helps . I even pulled up a link that I found that shows the instructions on how to perform the procedure but they just don't do anything about it. I neeed the dang TSB code everybody is talking about . I wish that truck would just catch on fire sometimes . any help please and thanks!!

Ok just to update on my vibration problems. I decided to take matters into my own hands . I lifted the back of my truck up to see the back tires spinning. low and behold the back left wheel/ tire is wobbling . Not much but it looks like this could be the problem . I pulled the wheel and tire off and had it checked at a tire shop and it seems to be fine . But when I mount it to the truck it wobbles . The problem seems to be with the adapter that is mounted to the trucks factory lug bolts . It seems to be defective . My wheels are chevy 22" wheels . I am going to request some wheels that do not require adapters . I will have an update in a week when I get my truck into service

Dang sorry to hear ! Well I think there is hope for my truck . Sounds like yours was doomed. Can't believe it didn't start with balancing the tires 5 times !

Silverado cancer apparently . No cure!? Surely not! I'm going to beat this bullshit or I will not settle . I am scheduled to do a video taped test ride of an exact replica of my truck and a ford and a dodge of similar styles . and will be posting soon ! Stay tuned ....

And also I had a 2011 with the same lift and tires/ rim size and it did not have any issues with this much vibration. but to answer your question I have considered the lift to be part of the problem but the dealer has not found anything wrong with the lift . Had a new drive shaft installed that helped a little and the tires force balanced twice . My salesman said the others he has sold with exact same lift and wheel combo are not having the problems I am ...

Well I don't have a spare 60k $ truck to compare it to in my possession so I'm working with what I got a 25k$ Ford . That's why I asked if someone like yourself could post one . Did you read that part?

Well as I was researching the vibration issue some more I decided to make a quick video of my idle vibration . If someone who has a smooth riding truck could create one to show it is not just engine related that would be cool! So here is my truck idle with some vibration .

I'll try that next time I hit the highway. In the meantime I will just try to not think about it . Kinda ruins the entire weekend after u pick up your new truck on Friday after it was in the shop for the third time in the past month and it's not any better.

Ok so I just created an account so I could post on this site due to my 2014 z71 having shaking vibration issues . I have posted a few videos on YouTube for proof. I'll i Clyde the link at the bottom of this . So I bought the truck about 6 weeks ago . The truck has 22" rims 6" lift and 35" nitto grappler A-T. It is the upgraded LT package and the 5.3 motor . After the first road trip I picked up on a bad constant vibration and a pulsating rumble . Also when I stomp on it there is an extreme shaking at high rpm . I have had the truck in for service to fix the problem three times already . First time in they said tires were out of balance and it's better come and get it . Only to make it about 1 mile on highway and could tell NOTHING was better . So I brought the truck back and they replaced the driveshaft . This helped eliminate the pulsating rumble about 70 percent . It's still there and noticeable ! I brought the truck in and told them that it rides like a covered wagon at speeds over 65mph and it was at service for two days . They called and said that the all 4 of the tires had slipped on the wheels and that they balanced them again and all better..... NOT EVEN CLOSE! When I get up to 75 mph my passenger seat looks like you could mix a drink on it and everything in the truck that is not secured rattles and shakes . I just drove it 100 miles on the interstate and by the time I got out if the truck my entire body felt numb and was relieved to be back on a shake free planet! I bought a new half ton pick up to replace my 2011 three quarter ton because I wanted a smoother ride. When i test drove the truck I only got up to highway speeds for a couple miles and now I'm paying the price . This is by far the most annoying and frustrating problem I have ever experienced with any vehicle I have ever owned . I paid upwards of 60k$ for this truck and have yet to be satisfied . I have been loyal to gm my entire life and after this I am considering a change to find a better truck . Here is a link to my console and just what I'm experiencing in general .
