Hey guys so I asked on Facebook and I didn't really get very far so I figured I'd bring it up here. 120,000 mi completely stock. Here's what's going on. so with the converter locked and I believe in 5th gear around 1500 RPM I randomly get what feels like a misfire when applying light throttle until the turbo spools up. I bought this truck from an auction all the glow plugs were bad replaced all those. The truck had some dead battery issues right before it went to auction so I looked at the stored codes but ended up clearing them because a lot of them were communication codes which would be related to a dead battery. All filter replaced, all fluids (except trans and xfer) replaced. I meant to write down the actual codes but one of them was for EGR and the other ones was for glow plugs. I've replaced the glow plugs everything is completely fine as far as that goes. the filter head does like to lose a little bit of prime overnight so if I just fire it up first thing in the morning it'll run a bit rough if I put about two pumps onto the primer it runs completely smooth after start. I have conflicting data from different scan tools some of them are showing the EGR experiencing large error % as far as deviation. My all tell is showing small amount of error (2% at idle) but not enough to trigger a code. Doesn't feel like 605 torque if I'm honest. Pretty sure my 8.1 could out pull it at this point. Here are the fuel numbers Attached is some OBD live data First few are some screen shots. The one with the date is the most recent. Here is a link to the EGR doing it thing last week while I drove around town. Big drive south (AK to AZ) supposed to start tomorrow night. But I don't want it to brake down in the middle of nowhere.

So recently I cracked the bell housing to my transmission and it lost all the oil, so I’ve been looking at good used transmissions. My question is what years are compatible with the 2006s? I’ve heard the plugs vary year to year making some incompatible with different years. Any advice would be awesome.

This question has probably been answered on here a hundred times over but I can't seem to find any search results that match exactly what I'm looking for. My dad has 07 Classic with the LBZ Duramax. He absolutely loves the truck and plans on running it til the day he dies. With that being said, his biggest complaint is the fuel mileage he gets out of it. He averages 12-14MPG no matter how he drives it even when towing our boats/campers. He keeps sending me links to sketchy sites with tuners that are dirt cheap and claim to greatly improve fuel mileage. I'm smart enough to know not to go cheap when it comes to tuners/programmers. Can anyone provide any recommendations on somewhat affordable tuners that increase fuel mileage enough to warrant buying one in the first place? Or any other ideas to help squeeze some more MPGs out of it? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I have 3 race tuners I am selling, I have them on ebay so am posting the links for ease and pictures, if this is not allowed please advise. All 3 are unlocked and unmarried and ready for use in great shape, everything included as pictured. Some have egt and accessory cords included. No reasonable offer refused, you can bid or email me if interested at [email protected] to discuss. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Edge-Products-Juice-w-Attitude-CTS-21102-Tuner-ProgrammeR-Duramax-LLY-LBZ-06-07-/142272987655?ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT http://www.ebay.com/itm/Edge-Race-Evolution-25500-Duramax-06-09-Chevy-GMC-6-6L-Diesel-LMM-LBZ-LLY-SIERRA-/142272983997?ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT http://www.ebay.com/itm/Edge-Juice-Attitude-CS-2006-2007-6-6L-LBZ-GMC-Chevy-Duramax-Diesel-21002-egr-06-/142272978938?ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT

Hi all! I am new to this site so I apologize if this is posted in the wrong section. I have an 07 LBZ duramax and just drove 3000 miles towing 4500 lbs. I know this is not a significant amount of weight, but I thought that might be useful knowledge for the problem I am having. About 4000 miles ago when shifting from drive to reverse, or reverse to drive, I began getting a pretty hard gear engagement. my driveline seems tight. On my road trip at one point I lost tranny temp and the light that illuminates "drive" went out. I had "tow/haul" engaged, and had an indicator light, but it did not seems to actually be running in tow mode as the tranny wouldn't downshift when i was braking, and my shifts were not as hard as they should have been. I shut the truck down and restarted it and same thing. I restarted it again and everything was normal and I have put about 1500 miles on it and not had the problem reoccur. I will say that on my trip my trans temp was all over the place, but never over 205 (150-205). I stopped in Reno, NV and went to taho with out the trailer and my temp was around 205 with outside temps around 80. Do I have a serious problem brewing? my biggest concern is the slamming into gear. I have noticed that if i shift to N and pause a second before going into a gear it happens significantly less. Any help is appreciated! I should add that I have 158k on the truck, and do not get any codes with these problems.

This is the 25500 "RACE" model Evolution from my 2010 LMM. It is in perfect condition and worked excellent on my truck! This tuner was returned to stock before it was removed. It also includes the "HOT UNLOCK" code from Edge. It comes in it's original packaging with OBDII cable, USB download cable, instruction manual, Fusion CD and factory mounting bracket. This tuner is absolutely perfect! I'm asking 600.00 for everything shown. This "RACE" model has 7 power levels. And can read and clear codes. It can also recalibrate your speedometer for different size tires or gear ratios. This is the Edge tuner you want if you are planning to DELETE your DPF! On LMM's the EGR codes are disabled on levels 1-3. The EGR is disabled on levels 4-7. Disabling the speedlimiter on LMM's is preprogrammed in the calibrations on levels 3-7.
