  1. Hope you guys are doing well! Found a lovely deal for a chevy 2016 - LT Z71 - V5.3 This is my first truck and looking to lift it. found a good price for Rough Country lift kit - 3.5 inch BILSTEIN 5100: https://psp.ae/product/bilstein-performance-shocks-15/ Rough Country KIT: https://www.roughcountry.com/gm-suspension-lift-kit-275-8.html Many people been complaining about how cheap the rough country shocks are, so I was thinking is it possible to install Bilstein 5100 shocks kit on this kit? or would they not fit into these? This way I would lift the truck + level it + have some what better shocks I thought about selling the Rough Country shocks instead Your thought and experience are much appreciated!
  2. Currently have factory ranchos on my 2017 z71, have been thinking about upgrading to the fox 2.0 rear shocks. Has anyone had these shocks or have them? Are they worth the money over another set of ranchos or blistens?

  4. Looking for recommendations based ofrom personal experience I’m considering getting Fox coil over 2.0 or 2.5 also Rancho quick lift. I currently have bilstein 5100 shock all around with stock springs and struts and I’m not quite satisfied with the ride quality over pot holes and bumps in the road are quite noticeable. I’m looking the best possible ride on my 2014 Silverado LT even considering new tires currently running 265/65/18 please help out this is my everyday driver mainly on freeway but will take on dirt roads every so often
  5. Rancho RS9000XL vs Bilstein 5100 I am at 72k and preparing/saving up for shock replacement on all four corners. I like the that the Rancho RS9000XL can be adjusted (claimed 400% difference between lowest and highest setting). I always hear good things about the Bilstein 5100s though. Any experience with the Rancho RS9000XL shocks?   6. Stock aluminum upper control arms and rancho coil over shocks off of my 2015 z71 sierra. Make me an offer. Would like to sell together but will sell shocks and arms separately. They have 25,000 miles on them.
  7. Greetings, all. I'm very, very new to this particular forum, but not nearly to GM forums in general. (I have no problem in admitting that I was an active member of GM j-body forums...for more than one vehicle. ) Although I've got good experience around pickups in general, this is the first pickup I've personally owned that's new/decent/nice. Long story short, I want to get rid of this not-to-my-liking front end rake. That said, I've already bought the Rancho QuickLift leveling struts (and rear RS9000XL shocks to match) for my new-to-me 2014 Z71 4X4. My only newbie question is this... I've researched several Internet sources, and have taken a look under my truck. It really does look as if it's as easy as dropping the factory front strut assembly down through the lower A-arm without removing or loosening anything other than strut assembly bolts. Can it really be this easy? Again, sorry for such a "noob" question, but I'm looking forward to wrenching on my truck tomorrow morning and sharing photos all along the way! Anxious to become a productive, contributing member of this forum too! Thanks, everyone.
  8. For sale is one complete set (2 front and 2 rear) of Rancho RS9000X Series shocks. They fit 1988 thru 1998 model Chevrolet/GMC K1500 1/2 ton 4WD pickups with no lift (stock height). Included are two Rancho RS99152 front shocks and two Rancho RS99190 rear shocks. These gas shocks are fully adjustable by a 9-position knob on the shock body. They are new, unused, and have never been installed on any vehicle. Price is $240.00 plus shipping. Shipping will be approximately $30-$50 dependant on your location.   9. Hey all, I wanted to see what everyone has to say in regards to getting new shocks to make my 14 silverado crew cab z71 a much smoother ride. I'm already tired of the ranchos and my truck is my daily driver.. I have read the bilstein 5100's are a great upgrade, or the fox 2.0's, etc.. So just curious as to what people think or if there are others that anyone would recommend.. I do plan on leveling my truck which I know you can do with the bilsteins so I am kind of leaning toward them..
  10. Anyone have any experience and feedback on a Rancho Add a Leaf Kit part #RS60645 This is for my 05 Sierra ext cab Z71. I have 3" blocks in the back with factory springs and shocks. Torsion keys are cranked in the front to almost max. I've driven the truck like this for about 8 years, ~140,000km. Springs are getting a bit week, no thanks to a couple long haul heavy loads and am now routinely sitting low in the back with the tent trailer and a little gear in the back. Lots of gear and I'm sitting too low. I can afford another 1" of lift in the back dry but need something to help with weight when towing or with heavy loads in the back. Ideally helper bags would be the way to go but they are just too far out of my budget. I'm assuming a single spring is not going to destroy road comfort too much but lets be honest it's a truck and I use it as a truck to haul stuff. From what i've read expect about 1" of lift, It's a bit more rake than I'd prefer but I may be able to crank the torsion bars for another 1/4"

Everything listed was pulled off at 4,100 miles Leveling kit has 2,300 miles on it Located in SoCal near Palm Springs area.

  13. Hey guys, I'm a brand new member here from Edmonton, Alberta. Hi! Anyways, I have an '05 Avalanche with 2"-2.5" (not sure exactly) torsion key lift on the front and either a 1"-1.5" spacer on coil spring in the rear. I have Rancho RS5000 (5250 I believe for Avalanche) shocks on all 4 corners. I think I am having a problem with my shocks possibly freezing up? I have a heated garage that I can turn heat off or on. I can drive my truck to work after sitting overnight with heat on in garage, and my shocks are fine. After an hour or so it seems they are freezing up in anything past -10*C or so. The ride turns horrible and I can hear a sort of bang noise when I hit bumps and feels like my tires are taking the shock. I have jumped on my bumpers after noticing this and the suspension won't even budge, only the tires will flex. After afew hours in the heated garage it seems to be ok. Could the shocks be worn out after 2 years and roughly 40-50,000 KM's? Should they be freezing up or possibly low on oil? Keep in mind our winters range from -5*C to around -50*C like we are now. If the shocks are done I am looking into the Rancho RS7000MT, are they any good? Thanks for any information guys, appreciated!!! Kyle
