  1. Thanks Luke. Did a couple quick take offs this morning actually on some turns with the road plenty wet enough to were I know for a fact those Bridgestone's consistently lost it. Had a nice smooth take off and good traction. Tires are still new so we'll see long term but I'm definitely happy right now. Thank you all once again for the feedback. -Kenny
  2. Looked at Cooper but a buddy of mine said while he used to love them had bad luck with their newer stuff. Granted could have just been the particular line he went with, every company has some that are better than others. He has a set of Pirelli's now and said the grab the road like nobody's business but ride a bit rough, so I decided to give the Michelin's a try. Only have a few miles on them and no rain so too early to judge but so far so good. Definitely quiet, I got 'em up to 80 on the expressway, no noise or vibration, handling and cornering was good. I'll try and take 'em out for a drive north to Harlingen over the weekend and try them out a bit. A good 60 miles round trip so should give me a better feel for them. I appreciate all the feedback guys.
  3. Have a similar problem myself, I don't know 100% if it coincided with swapping out the battery but could be. I can usually get it to stay up eventually, I was thinking it was the switch but I'll give this a try. Obviously a hell of a lot cheaper to try haha.
  4. Looks like NTD some other division of Big O is in Texas but looks like there just around the larger cities.
  5. I gave Pirelli and Cooper a look just don't have any experience with them so didn't know what to make of them. I'll give 'em a closer look.
  6. Not sure I want to take out another credit card, I stopped myself from taking out these damn store cards everywhere and canceled most of the ones I had. I do appreciate the info, for $140 I'll definitely look into it. Although the local dealer has tried to unsuccessfully rip me off once for almost $700. Not sure I trust them for anything lol.
  7. Ouch. Found 'em for $1,300 installed with taxes locally just hadn't pulled the trigger yet, I thought that was bad enough. Looks like $70 back from Michelin for the next few weeks at least, if they work as expected I can live with it.
  8. Thanks Jim. That's what I was hoping I'd hear, read similar but so many BS reviews around wanted to check with some real people driving on these things. I see so many of these Bridgestone's sitting on GM trucks I was starting to think it was just me lol. Granted mine already had a little over 30K on them when I bought the truck. But yeah these things have been annoying me for a while and definitely not getting any better, there's more life on them but just not doing the job. I've been looking for an excuse to replace them so whoever threw that crap on the road may have ruined my night but probably did me a favor haha.
  9. I know this thread is two years old but just to close it out. The damn HMI was fine as the RPO report reflected. I got it upgraded pretty inexpensively by mail and not by the damn dealer. Just another crooked dealer trying to rip me off for $650 for an HMI I didn't need. And the Harness Dr. got me setup with a connector to keep the truck running while the HMI was gone. Problem resolved within a few days. Thanks everyone for all the feedback though sent me in the right direction.
  10. 2016 Silverado 1500 High country stock height with 22" stock rims, P285/45 R22 110H SL Have a set of Bridgestone Dueler A/T's on their right now that came with the truck and sliced the sidewall in one of them last night. They have some life left in them but it's the first set of Bridgestone tires I've had that I can recall and haven't been totally happy with them. I don't deal with off roading in this truck and don't have to worry about snow anymore. So mainly just dry and wet roads. My biggest problem with what I have is they could be a whole lot better on wet roads, my old lifted '05 with a set of Procomp's grabbed the road a lot better in my opinion. I'm considering a set of Michelin Defender LTX M/S I'm curious on opinions since they don't exactly give these things away. Other suggestions? Thank guys. Kenny
  11. I have a 2016 Silverado 1500 High Country My old '05 could do this but that was with an aftermarket alarm/autostart so not a GM thing. I looked around and didn't find anything but thought I'd ask anyway. Does anyone know if there's a way to keep the truck running when I take the key out? Basically I'd be using the autostart functionality but not having to turn off the truck and then autostart it. On my old truck there was a function that would let me hit a button on the dongle just before I turn off and remove the key but securely keep the truck running If I have the dog with me and just need to run in somewhere for 3 minutes I'll auto-start the truck to keep the AC going for the dog. My guess is GM didn't bother with this but thought maybe somebody knew. Thanks, Kenny
  12. @GTPprix I sent a follow up message on your site to confirm my email address and provided an alternate address I don't see any sign of your email in our filtering system. I may have mistyped my email address the first time, this time I got a autoreply from your site.
  13. @GTPprix haha, I cut my VIN out of the file since we're on the forum but attached is the vehicle info I saved to USB while I was taking the pics. Thanks for letting me know you sent the email, I'll check my spam filter it must have got grabbed. And yeah I found mention last night of that CPO I believe it was RPO for the deletion and lousy $200 rebate and it wasn't on my sheet. Vehicle Info.txt
  14. @GTPprix So Chris I actually found the Window sticker in the center console this thing most definitely came with CarPlay, NAV etc out of the box. But the factory carplay doesn't that mean it has to have the 2.5 HMI already? Damn Chevy MyLynk even has Android Auto instructions LMAO. I also think I found out why they couldn't do the update (I think), it already has some kind of open source software installed (see images) maybe there stuff won't allow updates if they can't match up what's installed to there stuff, which from my IT perspective makes sense. I'm sure the maps are out of date but I'm guessing maybe this open source was the problem dealer wise.
