  1. I bought an LT Double Cab, 5.3L, 4X4, All Star Edition. Not all the bells and whistles, but only what I needed and wanted. Mine was slightly less than $35K.

Steve Gleason played for the New Orleans Saints from 2000 - 2008, and will always be remembered for his blocked punt on the night the New Orleans Superdome reopened for the first time after Hurricane Katrina. He was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) - commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease. Through Team Gleason, the organization that Steve, his family, and friends started, he is determined to generate public awareness for ALS, raise funding to empower those with ALS to live a rewarding life, and ultimately find a cure. Steve is determined to inspire others by continuing to pursue life adventures despite his diagnosis, and has challenged the worlds of technology and science to identify their most promising developments toward new treatments and a cure. Please check out www.teamgleason.org for more information and hopefully to get inspired to help this remarkable man.

I masked off the outer edge of the chrome bowtie and covered the hood, grill, bumper area. Temperature was about 60 deg F, I used four very light coats of Plastidip spray about 30 minutes apart. I carefully removed all masking, then carefully peeled the overspray off the chrome bowtie outline, leaving just the red inner bowtie. Used an exacto knife to score any areas that may not have separated easily. Overall it was very easy to do for less than $12 can of spray. Plastidip seems to be available in a variety of colors, and luckily the red matched the Chevrolet Victory Red paint perfectly. If it hadn't, I would have sprayed it black. There are several You Tube videos that do a great job guiding you through the process. I probably wouldn't have tried it if I hadn't watched one and seen how easy it was to do. The good thing about Plastidip is if you're not happy with the way it turns out, you can peel it off after it dries.
  4. From what I read on here, the sunglasses holder is apparently too small for most sunglasses. That's where I tucked my remote.
  5. Maybe GM will come out with a special aluminum foil antenna topper that they can sell us!
  6. Seems to me you couldn't expect much better. The combination of only a 1.5 mile one-way commute, winter fuel, majority city....it seems you couldn't get much better no matter what you were driving. And I don't know if you're starting it up and letting it warm up every morning, but it seems that would also contribute to lower-than-expected mileage. I wouldn't be disappointed.
  7. My dealer here in Oregon had several V6s. In fact their showroom Silverado was a V6.
  8. Doesn't seem to bother me much, but I wonder if anyone's tried this Range product: http://www.rangetechnology.com/products/range-v8
