I think there is a difference between them while I have never seen the GM one I have the fold a cover g4 elite which I got from the dealer. I had the bak flip on my other truck and I like this much better. I too have been in down pours and covered in snow in VT and have never had a problem. I only had one spot where it was wet inside once. It was about the size of a dime and the truck had been sitting in a downpour all day. Fold a cover makes two covers the g4 elite and a lower model which is basically the same minus a few options I think. Fold a cover has some good videos on YouTube and even have a video of the g4 on a 14 silverado.
I saw a video on the airaid air filter system and it looked pretty cool. I don't know much about this so I was wondering..
What are the benefits if any?
Which is the best, airaid, KN or another?
Will it void my warranty?
I had a 2013 that was bought back and replaced with a 2014. I was gonna swap the 13 running boards to the 14 but was told by a tech that the mounting points were different. Don't know it this is true but assume it it because it ended up costing GM money as they replaced my running boards.
I don't think the new crew cabs are longer but they did move the b pillar forward 2 inches so there is a little more room in the rear seat. It looks like the front doors are smaller and the rears larger than on my 13 but don't know the actual specs.
Here is my 2014 on the day I picked it up. I have added a Fold-A-Cover tonneau cover and a Bed Rug. The silver one is my 2013 which was bought back by Chevy.
Thanks to mzodarg for his assistance in helping me post pics

Sorry to be so ignorant but could someone help with posting a photo. When I try to upload the photo it says it's too large. All my photos were taken with an iphone and I use an ipad. I was able to get a small one in my profile.
I have the Fold-A-Cover G4 Elite which I got through the dealer.
I originally had a bak flip fibermax which was a great cover and never leaked except for a little water around the tailgate. My truck was replaced from a 2013 to a 2014 so chevy replaced the cover as well.
I like the fold a cover much better. Pouring rain yesterday my truck was sitting all day and there was only one spot of water about the size of a dime inside near a tri fold panel. The cover is lite locks and you can open it from the back or from the cab. It folds up to the front of the bed leaving most of the bed open and comes completely off with two 4 quick bolts.
They have a few videos on you tube to check out.
