  1. If you cannot find them anywhere else cheaper, try http://www.fobkeyless.com/gmc-sierra-chevrolet-silverado-keyless-entry-remote.html They are $104.99 a piece
  2. Yep, I am going to have to take my truck in for this repair. I take it will take 2-3 days to complete. Add paint repair to the insider driver's door that bubbled up and is exposing the primer. Guess I will be driving a rental for about a week. The sad thing is that I have to drive 160 miles to get this repaired. The good news is that I will be in a city where the repairs can be done for a couple of weeks. The scary part is that they have to remove the bed and other parts in order to make this repair.
  3. Video entertainment in the front of the cab, or visible to the driver is illegal in most states. Rear view live video is not illegal. Example, most class A RVs have this system in place.
  4. If the radio screen is not doing this, you can program it to do so via settings.

Eventually, I will purchase the power lock. In the meantime, this is what I did. I used a large hose clamp and a strip of inner tubing (to protect the metal and prevent the clamp from sliding). I did a dry fit and the end of the hose clamp was too long. If I were to close the tail gate, the metal from the hose clamp would have scratched the crap out of the tail gate. Therefore I had to trim the end of the hose clamp with a Dremel tool before installing it. Total cost, $2.46 with tax.

    Upgrades, improvements, etc
  7. Those are pretty good mphs. The best I have had is 23.9 with a crew cab 4x4 Z71 doing an average of 76 mph for 100 miles with a slight tail wind. If it matters, I have an access cover on the bed of the truck.
  8. I installed an Access limited tonneau cover. Initially, I wanted a hard cover but glad to have the soft cover instead.
  9. Thanks for sharing the how to install the power lock. I am seriously considering purchasing this lock. I planned on having a shop install it, but after reading your thread, it looks pretty simple.
