  1. on a side note. i went outside to go verify the wires for pin 7 on X4 and X5 connectors and strangely enough i found out that they do no exist. now this is on a 2014 silverado, maybe the wires would exist on a GMC being that they have a dedicated DRL module? any GMC guys care to confirm this for me?
  2. yes that is correct. i just did this mod right now. and the fogs do turn on with the parking lamps, and stay lit with the low beams and high beams aswell.
  3. Out of curiosity. I wonder what would happen if the left front and right from drl supplied vtage pins were removed from the connector? Would someone lose the pwm signal going to there drls? In my cAse the lowbeam lights?
  4. Do you know which wire in that loom is the low beam signal wire?
  5. Perfect. Hope you don't mind me looking for those lights lol. I like the lighted steps idea
  6. I'll be getting a batch aswell. For anyone in the San Antonio or surrounding areas looking to do this mod. Hit me up so you can get your drug fix lol
  7. I would like to retain the factory switch. Just have it function like a standard constant switch though that won't cut off
  8. I wish there was a was to bypass the factory switch so it would have constant power and wouldn't turn off when gear is engaged
  9. Still gives me a reason to get rid of old tape and paper haha. Since were on the subject, anyone know how to remove center caps without removing the wheels by anychance? If anything I'll end up trying the Velcro method but was just wondering on anyone else's experience.
  10. Ah I wish I woulda known that thanks for the info
  11. Just finished taking off rear bow tie. For some reason I feel I like this way better
  12. thanks, and id rather not touch OE adhesive without worry. so ill just use old paper and tape to cove paint
  13. My project for the day. Then took off the rear bowtie
  14. Yep. Oem 350z/murano bixenons with Sti-RS and shield mod with iris shrouds
  15. Your cutoff looks similar ;)
  16. Cool man thanks. What brand are you running? Is it a vehicle specific application?
  17. can y'all, or had anyone posted pics of the catch cans they have installed?
  18. Did you notice if te rear bumper warped any while it was being powdercoated?
  19. Amps yesterday, herculiner today, Monday I should be getting my driver side assist handle, and Tuesday my retractable bull rings
  20. me personally, I've never been able to stand them. also, when i do my retrofit this would drastically reduce the life of my bulbs.
  21. i posted this last night on our texas gm truck page. I'm going to try this out soon in the near future and see how well this works, what issues arise and yada yada. if this works properly it will be a completely plug and play DRL bypass for the silverados. it will allow us to filter out the PWM signal going into the low beams and still retain auto headlight function ability. Let me know what you guys think.
  22. I've been looking at the jackrabbit from pace edwards. Probably gunnna have it installed withing two weeks. However, I wonder if the rails are thin enough, if there's a way I could install it under the bed caps?
  23. That's what I read. Then elsewhere I read when the photo sensor senses light it'll distribute -5v pulsating. Then when there's dusk or low light the sensor will distribute the full 12v
  24. I'm trying to make some sort of a relay harness to help me disable the drls on my truck based on voltage. Can anyone verify for me that kna non-hir 14 silverado the DRLs are underpowered lowbeams? Or are they running at full 12vs constantly?
  25. I used to have some similar to that in my cobalt. But the color hue was too blue for me. I like how those leds match the OEM color pretty closely
