How many of you have or are in the lemon law process? If so what have been your outcomes? Good and bad. Thanks!

Mine is finally going to go through the lemon law process. Leased March 2019 -First leak April 2019 (sealed per TSB). - leaked immediately after being sealed. - Second time to dealer new window installed, lasted 8 months until it leaked again. - Then it was sealed per TSB. - leaked shortly after being sealed again. - Second new window installed. Didn’t leak for a couple months. - Last night it rain very lightly. I decided I’d check because it won’t rain much the rest of the winter (Live in MN). I also heard the light rain was worse for leaking. Well it had a leak.. not huge but it also barely rained. I am so frustrated that GM hasn’t fixed this issue and will be contacting my attorney who already has already started the lemon law process. Between the window leaks and needing a new headliner because of the leaks it’s been in the shop for over 50 days total! 4 failed repair attempts.

Had the same thing. I’m on my last window fix before it’s lemon lawed. It’s in right for leaking oil lines.. I can’t catch a break.

Does anyone actually know what causes the frame around the window to crack? Pressure/stress? Heat from the defrost? Maybe water freezing in the northern states?

Well I picked my truck up for the last and final repair to get things right. I got the most updated window (FUYAO E4 43R-000072) It water tested and everything was water tight so far. They still had shitty looking sealant around the window, but not as bad as the hack job they did before.

Is the frame leaking from cracks? If you push up on the headliner you should be able to see he cracks. Just wondering if your issue is the spoiler bolts or cracked window frame.

I looked back at pictures of my windows and the replacement that leaked was not the updated version. That being said has anyone had the redesigned window leak at all?

I have been dealing with this window leak since April 2019 and posted in here a bunch a while back. I am on my final and last attempt before I lemon law mine. I had it sealed with the TSB (leaked) then window replaced (leaked) then sealed (leaked) and now it’s in for replacement again. Bear in mind it’s also had the headliner replaced. Total time in the shop is pushing 50 days (all related to the window issue) by the time I get it back. I have been a lifelong GM customer but I’m reconsidering moving on. My question is have they redesigned the window frame? How have there not been more people with this issue? I see so many new trucks with the slider and I cant help but wonder if they have a leaky window. edit after looking through a bunch of pages it appears my last leaky window was the “redesigned” window.

I was a “success” story with my rear window leak issues which I posted in here last April/May. I went in and had the TSB done and they clean my headliner and removed the stains. I picked it up and brought it home. I water tested it immediately and it leaked still. I brought it back and demanded a new rear window. I had already opened a report with GM and was documenting everything. Well the window was replaced by the dealer. When I picked it up I inspected it, no headliner stains, and water tested it when I got home. No leaks!! Fast forward to May 2020 my wife was like hey I saw stains on your headliner I thought they got them out? I was like oh no not again!!! What do you know it’s raining here heavy today and there’s two different leaks on my rear window. At what point can GM just take this truck back? I’m fed up. It’s a lease FYI..

That's my concern, didn't want to tap into the wire.

I used a diode on my 2014 Silverado to do this mod. I don't see why another diode wouldn't work on the new gen. Boost auto parts sells a $20 kit to do this job but I'm guessing I could just push in a diode on the #10 and #18 wire in the brown connector. Thoughts? I started my dad's 19 ram 5.7 hemi and then my 5.3 with the covered resonators and flapper clamped open and the 5.3 was way louder.

Yeah I agree when I started it after sitting for 4 days I was like nevermind it is actually louder.

Please do us a favor and do a before and after cold start!

It's hard to judge it cause I forgot to take a before and after cold start video..

I did this to mine tonight and it seemed to have some more rumble. I will look forward to the cold start in the morning. I'm guessing the flapper valve is open when turned clockwise?

Isn't there two flapper valves? One in front of the muffler, one after?

So the flowmaster 50 has some rumble to it with the screens taken out? I want a new muffler but nothing loud in the cab and no drone.

That's exactly how bad mine was. I had both sides too.

Hope it's resolved for you. I waited 16 days total and mine got the whole window replaced and that fixed it.

Well it rained all day. Checked the truck no leaks with the new window.

I looked around and don't see any sealant. Looks good so far.

Well I got my truck back today after 16 days. They first tried to do the TSB but it still leaked so they replaced the whole rear window. They claimed the water tested it. I don't have time to test it for a few days but I believe it's been all fixed. Nice to have her back.
