Anyone know if a 2017 Silverado Ex Cab steps fit a 2014 Sierra Ext Cab frame?

I was using a 2 USB TB Drive that I used with my truck. Worked great but the drive died. Now I am wondering If I purchase a 3.0 or 3.1 SSD/ usb for the truck will the system be able to read the new drive? Or is their way to upgrade the usb system to 3.0?

I did not have any codes but my mileage went sideways. My mechanic stated that it is an internal problem and that I need to have the engine rebuilt.

I have the double cab and the 8 inch screen. My am works and fm too. However, my HD is the problem. My Kenwood in my last truck worked great. So this HD issue is A GM problem. We did not want to pay so much for this truck and hear we are working on it. I took my dealer. He says it is up to specs. So I said to the service have the tech take a ride with me.
