  1. I'm just surprised the issue has been span across multiple years. If it was a bad batch or only in the initial production year, maybe i could understand. But for so many 2015s to have it as well, boy that's scary. Maybe this is truly a flawed truck.
  2. How about the 2016 models? Are they having this issue too?
  3. Anyone know if the 2016's have this issue?
  4. For anyone who thinks these are joke posts, you are completely wrong. Completely.
  5. stupid question... well maybe kind of stupid... but, if I have a steel drive shaft (this is another truck of mine), would applying the encapuslator or paint, possibly throw it out of balance?
  6. Thanks for the replies guys. Good luck Hareek! I look forward to reading your results!
  7. Forgive my ignorance, but when reapplying the wax coating or when applying the FF oil, how well do you clean the area first?
  8. Gosh, it almost seems that I need both my rear and front swapped out since I have the 45-55 buzzing vibration and the 74-80 mph console seat shake. I wanna cry,
  9. What would you guys say is the best way to maintain a new frame from the start? Is it actually bad to pressure wash or hand wash the frame, as it could remove the wax coating, thus losing our protection? I wanna wash it and keep it clean but I don't wanna strip off the wax...
  10. I wish service managers actually cared about their customers and had half a brain and read these topics. If I was a service manager, i would.
  11. If I would go thru BBB would that mean countless trips to the dealer first though?
  12. Thank you for the info - So they replaced your entire rear end with a '15 rear end or did they go about it differently? Did you happen to experience the seat and console shake?
  13. After two different road force and spin balances and having one of the tires replaced, I still have the following: *Very noticable buzzing\vibration in the steering wheel\gas pedal while in the 45-55 mph range *Front seats\console shake while in the 74-80 mph range. I can't say for sure if it goes away above 80 because it has been hard to test a speed that high (traffic/cops, etc.) HOW CAN SO MANY SILVERADOS HAVE THESE ISSUES? Early 14's, late 14's, 15's... I have a hard time believing that it is just tires, driveshafts or rear pinions/gear/teeth related, since it is so wide spread; as mentioned earlier, it's almost as if these trucks are super duper sensitive to any imperfection (tire, driveshaft balance, rear end, suspension, etc.). Is it possible there is NO actual fix for most of us? I am extremely hesitant to have a dealer with half a brain to throw parts and replacements at me, especially when they don't know the things discussed on this thread forum. I am so sick of being sick of this truck. SO much to love about it too.
  14. Did you get a chance to try it out yet? I'm about to order this too so I am ready to tackle any start of rust.
  15. I also sent you PM, but my main question is - what exactly are you experiencing that you are pinpointing the locking rear dif.?
  16. I see I wonder what Ram does to their frames. I haven't really heard anything bad about their frames.
  17. Does anyone think this issue from the factory may have stopped after certain build dates?
  18. Thank you. Is this actually a "legit" (for lack of a better word) GM-Chevy TSB that I can take to the dealer?
  19. Does anyone know where I can find the GM bulletin that refers the truck tires to be road force balanced to 15 pounds or less?
  20. ^ Thanks! This did the trick. Of note, I originally did try this, but I don't believe I initially did one of the two following things... First, I don't think I waited long enough for the radio to completely shut off (it stays on a little while after shutting doors). Second, I also didn't lock doors either during the first test. I doubt the latter had an effect, but still worth mentioning to anyone else that may encounter this situation. Thanks again to everyone.
  21. I set my max volume to the lowest setting, and turn my truck off with the radio playing at half volume, when I turn the truck back on, it will be at half.
  22. Hello all - I have the My Link 8" radio. My maximum startup volume does not seem to be working. No matter how low I adjust this, the radio does not seem to be using this setting. The radio will always startup on the volume that I last shut the truck off at. Anyone else experiencing this? Or can anyone shed some light on this... am I doing something wrong? (Build date is August 2014) Thanks in advance
  23. Can you please describe your shake?
  24. I wonder how many people have had the body mount service bulletin applied (repositioning and retorquing) on their trucks and whether or not that led to a successful fix.
  25. Yea I think they look good. I highly recommend them. I didn't think I would want them, but I actually appreciate them. I get in and out of the truck nice and easy without my pants getting dirty and I also land on the middle of the seat (therefore I don't slide over the side of the seat and wear it out... I hate seeing wear marks on the side of seats lol).
