  1. Couple reasons; cost being one, warranty being another, and not sure there is a significant/noticeable difference between the two for my particular use? I found some 5100’s for about $135/ea… depending on the springs I go with and extra hardware needed I’m guessing I’m out the door at about $500. The extra $250-300 I’d be paying for 6112s doesn’t seem justified when multiple people here who’ve had both admit seeing no difference. Convince me otherwise?
  2. For those who went with NEW springs... which did you go with and what other parts did you purchase or reuse? I am placing an order now for some 5100's but would like to replace the springs since I have 125K on current ones. What all will I need in addition to the 5100 purchase. Thanks
  3. Well, add me this debacle! 2014 Sierra w/ 106k mi - original owner Just completed the DIY route. Total cost was about $150 and about 5 hrs of labor (1.5hr of that was vacuuming system and holding). I took my time watching the video posted and following step by step. Some observations in my journey; Went through two condensers, first one was bent. Luckily Amazon offers easy returns. Like many I received a silver/bare color but installed anyway- Honestly can't tell much difference. Take note to your elevation, this may be a reason why you cannot obtain a 30inhg (500microns) vacuum. I am at about 2650ft above sea level and could only hit 28inhg. Unless it was my cheap harbor freight gauges/pump... Most importantly it held. Be very careful when tightening down Hi/Lo lines, you can easily overtighten. Add about 2 ounces of Dexron VI tranny fluid actually inside upper cooler before installing On a 1500, 0.6kg of coolant is needed. Translates to 21.1 ounces, or almost two (12) ounce cans. I couldn't figure out an easy way to add PAG46 oil, after vacuum, so it might be wise to add first. Someone may chime in on this. Sent from my SM-T860 using Tapatalk
  4. Add me to the list.... 4.5yr/106k miles Condenser is crap, paint is ****** (peeling on both rear door columns), way to go GM Sent from my SM-T860 using Tapatalk
  5. subbed - I am having the same issue! Perhaps a class action lawsuit is in order?

  7. Crap!!! I found this thread late, however I don't think anything would've changed. I've got a 2014 All Terrain and last week noticed the same exact tearing on my front passenger side seat. I'm @ 53k miles, but have only had the truck (since new) going on 2 years in Oct. I bought a "leather patch" from Amazon to prevent it from tearing further... Is there a recall on this yet that anyone is aware of? Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  8. #3 while taking a #2 as I type... Beat that! Fumoto all the way! Literally, 15 min oil changes with next to no cleanup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. $5 and a trip to Home Depot later, I'm up and running... Can't wait for it to get dark! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Ugh, I fell victim.... sent me the correct nuts/washers but wrong screws. I am debating taking a trip to HD so I can finish the install.
  11. Just a heads up to those searching for the cheapest price on these lights.... I have no affiliation with this eBay seller, but thought I'd share my findings. I just purchased some using the "Make Offer" feature and paid $230 shipped. http://www.ebay.com/itm/261764983984?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I originally made an offer of $220, he countered with $240, and I countered with $230 to which they accepted. You may be able to get a little more of a discount depending. Within 15 minutes of paying, seller provided me with tracking number. So far so good...
  12. Just curious how many are interested in purchasing a set? I was thinking about contacting Massdrop for a group buy... perhaps we can get a better price than $265... Edit: What the hell, I started a Poll to vote on Massdrop. Here it is; http://dro.ps/v/HrATTsh
  13. nice job, still debating if these are worth the $220
