Hey I dont know if anyone else tried this but I tightened all my rear U bolts and it reduced my vibration. I had a 40-55 vib on the highway. The intensity was reduced and I only have a slight vibe around 55 mph now. It feels much better all around. I was able to get at least 6 turns on every nut. Im curious about the leaf sping clamps too, I might try that this weekend to see if i can eliminate the vibe or atleast close to it. When I have a load in the truck the vib is very close to not being noticeable.

Has anyone tried putting some weight in the bed? I have the 45-55 mph vib and noticed when hauling fire wood it was significantly reduced.

Has anyone looked into the "beam shake" ? my truck drove with practically no vibration when I had a load in it. After googling the service bulletin it seams like this has been going on for a while

After reading this post earlier in the week I thought id give it a try. My truck is a 2014 double cab z71. I have a 2" leveling kit and replaced the stock tires with Michelin LTX at tires. my truck has the 45 mph to 55mph vibration and it is the worst between 50 and 55. I picked up 1/2 a cord of fire wood this morning and headed home on a 40 mph road and the wheel did not vibrate at all. Then i jumped on the interstate for a few miles to test it and sure enough the vibration was 80% - 90% gone. If i wasn't looking for the steering wheel vibration i most likely would not have noticed it at all.

Hi guys, I posted here awhile back about a vibration issue with my Silverado at 45-55mph. back in January the dealer agreed that 3 of my 4 good years were out of round. I put LT Michilen ltx at's on the truck and the vibration was defiantly improved. that was back when the truck had 18000 miles on it. Now at 26000 im noticing the vibration is getting worse (not worse in intensity, but now noticeable from 40 - 60 mph). Its such a shame I love the truck and wouldn't want a different brand half ton but this is driving me nuts.

Year 2014 Make, Chevy Cab, Double Box, 6.5 Engine 5.3 Transmission 6 speed Rear Gear. 3.42 Speeds the vibrations are present: about 40 mph to 60 mph; more noticeable when decelerating Solutions: I noticed the viberation around 7000 - 9000 miles. at 18000 the dealer said 3 of the 4 goodyear sra's were out of round and I replaced the tires with 275/60R18 Michelin LTX at's (The truck has a 1.5" leveling kit). They didnt ballance them correctly the first time at the dealer so after having a tire shop ballance them the vibration was 65% better and only noticeable between 45-50 mph. I thought this was much more liveable. Now at 26000 miles, im noticing the vibration is back to the 40 mph to 60 mph range again.

Hey Guys, I had the truck in auto 4wd today in a little bit of snow and noticed my 45-55mph vibration was no longer noticeable. It has improved sense I installed the new LT tires but still have the 45-55 mph vibration. it is most noticeable when im slowing down. Anyone think it might be a front axle issue? Just a thought

I adjusted the air pressure in the tires today and noticed an improvement in my vibration. I notice something in the wheel now but its nothing I want to bring the truck back to the dealer for. They will probably say theres nothing wrong with it. At the point its at now ill live with it

I just Had LT Michelins installed on my truck and it feels and handles much better. However I do still have a 45-55mph vibration that is only felt in the steering wheel.

Mike, Do you know if the Michelins you had were LT or P rated? I noticed alot of tires being replaced were p rated tires being replaced with other low quality P rated tires and i think that might be the issue. I believe LT tires belong on a full size truck. Ive had them on every full size truck ive had weather its a half ton, my Tahoe, or a 1 ton.

I spent the day at the dealer today for the vibration at 45-55 mph and they determined that 3 out of the 4 goodyear gsa passenger tires were out of round. Im am replacing the tires with LT michelins to hopefully correct the issue

Did a new set of tires fix this for anyone? I have the vibration between 45 and 55 mph. Could it be that the p rated goodyears are not that great of a tire?

Hi Guys, I bought a 2014 Silverado double cab z71 back in June. I First noticed the vibration about 3 months ago but it was very slight. This was only around 45 mph. Now the vibration starts at 45mph and goes to about 65. I have my first appointment with the dealer next week to look at the issue. Does anyone think it could be the passenger rated good years that cause the problem? I have read on a few other forums that LT tires reduced if not fixed the vibration. Im tiring to gather up as much info as I can before I head to the dealer. Thanks for the help

Has anyone used a BDS 2" leveling kit on a 2014 Z71? how are the cv angles with a 2" level Im looking at instaling one in the next few weeks. Thanks for the help!
