  1. I would also like to add that the bushings I removed had a notch cut out of the rubber at the top and bottom and my new bushings were solid rubber
  2. I have 14 Sierra Denali crew cab 4wd, been battling an intermittent shake at 70 + and I don’t mean a vibration it shook like hell. Hitting bumps and entering curves at 70 + speeds would cause the truck to shake and then it would work itself out and get smooth again. I found another thread on this forum with a guy that was having vibration at 70 to 80 and he took it to the dealer and mechanic told him he knew exactly what it was, rack and pinion bushings. The guy said he had it done and it fixed most of it. So what the hell did I have to lose, ordered the bushings and replaced them, it took 80% of my shake out, now it’s still there but the damn thing is drivable without losing my mind. The part # from GM is 84234960. When I dropped my rack and pinion down I saw that it had 4 bushings and GM only sent me two, the reason for that is only two of the four are serviceable, it’s the two on the left side of the rack and pinion. I don’t know if it will help you guys out but it worked for me, good luck.
  3. I have a 14 Sierra Denali 4wd 5.3. I also have the intermediate shake at 70+ but I have learned what makes the truck shake. I can get on the interstate and run 70 75 80 as smooth as silk but as soon as I go into a turn at those speeds the truck starts it’s shaking and then the shake will work it self out when I drop to lower speeds and then I can reach 70+ again and sometimes the shake is still there and sometimes it isn’t but if I turn my wheel again to go into a turn the shake starts back up and I have duplicated this over twenty times, it never fails.
