  1. @Mike @Spurshot thanks for the suggestions guys, I am quite mechanically inclined and I don't think I would have a hell of a problem installing the projectors myself. So what you are saying spurshot is put biXeon projectors as low and high beams? Like one for each bulb location?
  2. Yeah I think I'd be happy with HID high and lows since the only time I would flash them would be if someone had their high beams on me. Otherwise they would just be off when in oncoming traffic. Am I getting that right? And yeah I'd like to do dual projectors with a halo ring but I just don't undertand them enough. You mount the projector where your bulb would be and then you buy a shroud to go around the projector? Do they sell shrouds that would fit in my headlight perfectly? I don't want anything that is going to look cobbed up or half assed. I figured eventually I might put a 50" light bar on the top of my truck but in the future, I'd like to do the HIDs and possibly projectors soon. Just don't want to mess up my headlights and be screwed.
  3. Thanks for the reply guys! I don't have projector low beams, which I know would be optimal for HIDs but I also wouldn't mind installing projectors for low beams but would I want to install them on high beams too? I've been looking at after market headlights and they seem to have dual projectors. I don't really see myself dumping 5-8 hundred on a pair of after market headlights though. Will the LED headlight match the color of the HID low beam? And also why does it matter how slow they heat up? Is it because when you dim them for oncoming traffic and turn them back to high it still takes time for them to warm back up? I figured it would just be the initial warm up not every time you turn them off, sorry probably noob questions. I tried to read through the whole post before asking any questions but appreciate the help. @Arkenzo I would like HIDs because there are a lot of deer around my area and would like better vision, I just got out of a bad car accident and would like the added light at night. Also they just look bad ass haha.
  4. Hey I'm new to the truck and headlight world with my new 2014 Silverado LT I've been thinking of putting HIDs for high+low beams and fog lights. I've read some of thrushes with the fog lights, but what I'm really concerned with is the high beams with HIDs I read somewhere that you shouldn't use HID high beams because they take like 15 seconds to warm up and the constant on and off blows the bulbs? Any info on this?
