  1. Not sure why the link did not work in my original post but it seems to be working in the quote on your post. I am not at all concerned with the upper strut spacer I fully expected that because that is one of the main differences between the 2" and the 2.5" leveling kit. However, if you look closely at the two different kits you will notice that the lower strut spacer is different. The lower strut spacer pictured with the 2.5" kit has a constant thickness where as the lower strut spacer pictured with the 2" kit has a variable thickness. I agree with SouthernSilveradoGuy85. I believe I received an older style spacer. The material does feel like a plastic but I know from reading other posts in this thread that it is some type of glass resin composite. I will be calling Rough Country tomorrow to see what they have to say. Hopefully their literature is out of date and not my kit.
  2. So I ordered the 2.5" Rough Country leveling kit for my 2015 Silverado. The leveling kit arrived today. When I opened the kit everything seemed to be there and exactly what expected. However, when I opened the separate box for the lower strut spacer the spacers look different than what I was expecting. The lower strut spacer that is pictured in the following link is what came with my kit (http://www.roughcountry.com/gm-leveling-lift-kit-1307-8.html) and I was expecting the lower strut spacer that is pictured in the this link (http://www.roughcountry.com/gm-suspension-lift-kit-1303.html). Is one spacer better than the other or does it even matter. Let me know what you guys think. Sorry for the links and not pictures. I haven't spent the time to figure out which is the best way to attach pictures.
  3. As far as I can tell Rough Country only has one kit, unless I am missing something? What is the difference between the aluminum and steel control arms?
  4. Has anyone installed the Rough Country 2.5" Lift/Leveling (SKU 1303) on a 2015 Silverado 1500. My 2015 shipped on Monday and I was going to order the kit online but Rough Countries fitment chart doesn't include the 2015 Model Year.
  5. Thanks guys for the great feedback. I really would like to try the 285/70R18 but I will probably wuss out and go with the 285/65R18. I really like the looks of the XD Misfit but they only make the 18x9 in the 0mm offset. Wish XD had a few more options in the offset. However to go with the 285/65R18 I will have to run the Nitto Trail Grappler.
  6. I have a 2015 Chevy 1500 Silverado on order and I have been back and forth on tire size. I have been through this thread and I really like everyone's setup. However this is what I have been considering to do on my truck. I know for sure that I am going to go with the Rough Country 2.5" Lift/Leveling kit. I have also decided on the size and model of wheel that I want. I am going to go with the XD Misfit 18" X 9". That wheel has a 0mm offset with a 5" backspace. Those are the knowns now to the unknown. I am having a hard time deciding on tire size. I am like everyone else. I would like the largest possible tire with minimal to no rubbing without trimming. I am open to trimming the inner wheel well that is made out of carpet but I do not want to alter any sheet metal. I would like to try a Toyo Open Country M/T in a 285/70R18 (34" X 11.5"). I don't believe that anyone has tried a tire that size. Let me know what you think.
