I wouldn't worry about the weight, both hoods were very light and were probably within 5lbs. But that's not scientific, just based on feel. I must say the overall fit and quality is top notch for a fiberglass part. And you are correct, the ram air is indeed a functional ram air which directs the air directly over the air intake. On top of that it also has two sections that are functional heat vents. I'm not too worried about the paint at all. The inside of the bed is in perfect shape and didn't not receive any hail damage. The passenger side of the truck is what took the damage. But I have been working the dents out and covering them with bondo. Once I'm done with this and the underside of the hood is painted she'll be taken in to be covered in line-x top to bottom. If pricing isn't too outrageous on the color match it'll be color matched except for the bed and roof. Those two areas will be Line-X premium so they have a gloss finish. I installed the hood first to make sure it fit and to note any adjustments I may need to make. I'm hoping to get the underside of the hood painted next week. Finished up the passenger side truck bed this afternoon. Hoping to get the whole rear end of the truck into my local Line-X dealer this week.
