  1. I just put the 285/65r20's on my Sierra and I love them. They were 34" tall unmounted and 34.5" mounted and aired up (off the truck). They are narrower than the 12.50 tires but 1.5" wider (actual tread width) than the stock SRAs and look perfect. Another 1" wide would have required way more lift than I wanted to deal with, these are the limit for a leveled truck. I am rubbing on the mudflaps which will take more work but I have +12 wheels and only a 2" level. I think they would have cleared stock offset wheels.
  2. Yes it was the Quick lift shocks. I don't have any pics but it looks just like all the other leveled trucks. I think if the front were any higher it would be nose high IMO.
  3. I just put on the Ranchos all the way around on my 2015 max tow Sierra. It raised it about 2" in the front, maybe 1.8 on the passenger side but that side was higher to begin with. They are not softer than the stock shocks but about the same when set to the softest setting.
  4. So how much front end level did you end up with and how much clearance do you have? I have the same BFG tires in 285x65-20 sitting in my garage and I need to order wheels. I am looking at Black Rhino Sierras, also +12. Do you think you would clear a slightly larger/wider tire and do they stick out at all with the +12 offset? Thanks
  5. The 18s or the 20s? There's a raptor in town with the 18s and I think the wide stance on the raptor makes them look smaller. If you get up close to the tire it is actually a pretty big chunk of rubber. Does anyone with the 285x65-20's think they would still clear a leveled truck if the wheels were +12 offset? I want Black Rhino Sierras but I know the 20's are already close on +27 wheels.
  6. I kept wondering the same thing. There are a billion pics of them on this f150 thread. My tires should be here today. I really wanted the 35x12.50-18s but I dont want to risk ordering wheels and tires just to find out they wont fit without more lift than I want to do. http://www.f150forum.com/f118/my-2015-lifted-platinum-283217/
  7. I'm not a huge fan of the new Chevy grille/headlight set up but I do like that. Looks like LineX? What did you do with your tow mirrors? My silver Sierra is coming with power fold tow mirrors and I want to ditch the chrome. Did you paint yours to match? I was going to black mine out with vinyl but I would like to see more pics of yours.
  8. What was the price from Go Rhino?
  9. Those look good. Who did you actually get them from, CariD or Go Rhino? Also, it seems to me that you have them on backwards? Meaning you have the passenger side on the driver side and vise versa.
  10. Well Ebay and Amazon dont have them so I'm guessing pretty much nobody does. This seems odd to me since a running board isnt exactly a tough product to produce and they have been promoting these for months. Did a factory in China burn down or something?
  11. So who did you actually get them from, CariD or Go Rhino? Does anyone actually have these in stock? My truck will be delivered in a week or so and I need these ASAP. I have 3 little kids who won't be able to get in easily without them and more importantly I live on 2 miles of gravel which will beat the $hit out of my paint without some protection. I haven't found anybody online that says they actually have these in stock. For example Runningboardwharehouse.com says "out of stock but typically Go Rhino fills orders in 3-4 weeks. Yeah right. Any leads?? Thanks
  12. Wouldn't wheel spacers make it rub the fender wells worse? Truck looks great by the way.
  13. Man, if they don't ship em Monday I've got a feeling your gonna hear about it here ha ha! My truck is in transit and I really want these steps, but I'm not too optimistic I would have them before the 4th of July the way your deal has gone. Can't wait for pics...
  14. How are those Aires rear liners? Price? They look really nice and appear to have great coverage and containment. I have Huskys for the front but am looking for something for the rear. Are they full coverage to the back?
  15. Did you measure them with the weight of the truck on them? I'm sure that would squat them at least 1/2", if not more. When you say the width was just under 11", were you measuring the tread itself, edge to edge? I think the mfg includes the sidewall ballooning in their specs but I'm not sure. I don't remember exactly but when I measured the tread on a 35x12.50R18 KO2 it was definitely under 12". Tires still looked huge up close though. I didnt think to measure height but wish I had now. In for more pics, especially pics of the tread width.
  16. This looks awesome. This is the 2nd truck on this site running these with a level w/o problems, good to see as these tires are what I'm planning to buy. A guy I know has these in 35x12.50x18 on a Ford and they are really good looking tires. Per BFG specs the 35's (18") are the same diameter as the 285/65/R20, but the 35's are 1" wider. Do you think they would fit on your truck if they were 1" wider? Would a 1.5" body lift help? Got any pics straight on or from the rear? I'm curious if these 285's look narrow for their height.
  17. Has anyone tried a KO2 in 285/65R20 with a 2.5" level? Lots of guys are running the 275/65/20 in various brands and the 285's are only .4" taller and .5" wider. I'm surprised nobody has posted experience with this size yet.
  18. Well that ∆ went about like I figured, bummer. I thought it said free shipping on Carid's site, but maybe not.
  19. Let us know if they actually have them. I'm not a running board fan but with 3 little kids and living on gravel I really need a set. I was planning on the Dee Zee NXT but these RB10's look better, seem like they would provide better debris coverage, and not scratch up easily. If they are solid I am definitely in for a set for under $400.
  20. Well here you go. Availability says "manufactured" but it did let me add one to the cart. Price seems pretty good. Anyone know if these mount to the body or the frame? http://www.carid.com/2015-gmc-sierra-running-boards/go-rhino-rb10-running-boards-45845098.html Now someone try them out before my new truck comes in!
  21. Got any more pics of this set up?
  22. Well maybe I wasn't looking at it wrong. This is from page 4 of Bilstein's PDF http://www.bilsteinus.com/fileadmin/user_upload/user_upload_us/pdfs/Bil_LevShks_WebArticle.pdf Increased Rebound Control The lift on the 5100 Series leveling shocks is achieved by increasing the preload on the factory coil. By adding more preload, the shock is designed with more rebound damping as compared to the O.E. or standard aftermarket replacement shock. So it sounds like they do increase the preload and then control that by adjusting the rebound, and increase the stroke length to restore travel. If the Rancho QuickLift are well built then it seems like they would be a better option, assuming you wanted approx 2" of lift, because you can adjust them for your use and they are designed for the full height. It seems the Bilseins would have to get worse as you move them from whatever the optimal setting is, which is probably somewhere in the middle. Sorry if this is a thread jack...
  23. Ok I went back and looked at them closer and I get it now, I was looking at it from the wrong perspective. So when folks complain about the stiffer ride at the top setting, this is being caused by the increased angles which decreases the leverage on the suspension, correct?
  24. I understand that they may compensate for the longer stroke of the higher setting, but I dont see how it is possible that moving the spring seat up wouldn't be adding pre-load. I'm not saying your wrong, I just dont see how its possible. Moving the spring seat up has to compress the spring (unless I'm missing something) which is pre-load as I understand it.
  25. These shocks have been explained many times on this forum so maybe I'm just dense, but I don't see how their method of changing the spring seat location is really any different that using a spring pre-load spacer? It seems that it is doing the exact same thing once you raise it above the stock setting, its just doing it from the bottom instead of the top.
