  1. This can be done with no problem. I ran that size tire on my 2 inch rc level before I lifted my truck. Most you will have to do is tie back the fender liner. There are plenty of examples of this set up in this thread. I still have pics of mine in my gallery.
  2. Try listening to music on an SD card vs using sir I used and see if you still have a problem with lost mid range. All I listen to is my SD card and I have no issues but I have heard complaints from people using Bluetooth. Maybe this is your issue also
  3. Yes this is the bracket lift. Only pics I have are the ones in this thread when I talked lk about my build and the one in my signature. Also I saw you ask chandler . His is also the bracket lift. It was mentioned easy on in this thread.Almost forgot I love the lift. The shocks not so much. But I only paid 1000.00 for the kit so I can afford to upgrade the shocks. Fronts have the factory Ranchos which are fine by me. What other pics are you looking for I might be able to take a few more.
  4. A 4 inch lift will put you no higher than a stock 2500 I wouldn't worry about roll over
  5. Knuckle lift is easier to install and usually cheaper if you are comparing the same brand. Your wheel will stick out beyond the fender and you will have to run rear spacers in the rear if you want it to match. The bracket lift will keep all of your stock angle and stock track. Basically the way I look at it is my truck looks like it is 2500 HD that is maybe an inch taller. It looks like something the factory could build and is not overstated. I could not get away with a lot of the set up a that people run on here in Massachusetts Technically I am illegal now. But looking stock brings no attention.
  6. My trucks front fenders was 36 inch stock. A 2 inch rcx level raised it to 38 inches and a 2 inch taller tire raised it to 39. You have to remember you split the tire height difference in half. That being said I took the level out. Using the same tire I put in and rcx 5 inch kit. My front fenders now sits at 42 3/4 after settling. That means I got 5 3/4 inches out of a 5 inch kit. You can't trust what they are claiming the lift size to be. I even emailed rcx because of lift laws around here and stated it was true 5 inch kit. Before settling it was 6 1/4 inches higher. I sat in the bed of my truck and my wife drove it out of the garage. I clear the 7 ft door by maybe 3 inches
  7. If you go with a rcx bracket lift your track will stay the same as stock.
  8. typically that indicates a bad ground.
  9. Knuckle lifts always widen the truck. That's why I went with the bracket lift.
  10. I agree.... That video is what sold me on my lift.... I had been pondering for awhile and then saw that and ordered it the same weekend.
  11. I'm running factory rims I'm running factory rims
  12. I don't have a factory bose. but it's much better than stock. I have had mine for awhile now and it feels like the sound us better now than when I first installed. I know that is crazy.
  13. Bobbylowe, I think the 5 inch lift is going to make those tires look small. I have the 5 inch rcx. I think my tires look a little small and they are 34 inches. I am in the same boat as you. These tires cost me 1300 and they only have 10k on them.
  14. Cmysstailights, To answer your earlier question. Yes the airlift Springs in the back and the rc 3.5 lift in the front will work. But I wouldn't do it. Your ride will really stiff. The 3.5 kit is basically a leveling kit and they are stressing the the front end to achieve the height. All the 3.5 kits are this way. Do your research and you will see what I mean.
  15. Truck trend did an install of the 7 inch lift. http://www.trucktrend.com/how-to/chassis-suspension/1404-2014-chevrolet-silverado-rough-country-7-inch-lift-install/
  16. I will agree to disagree. Txjose,my review of the install was in this thread back in november. I can only speak to the bracket lift. My track is stock. The angles are stock. I put the camber/ caster adjusters to where I removed them and the alignment shop didn't hav to move them. So I can't see why it would ride worse than stock which it doesn't
  17. I have no complaint with bds and I know nothing about the kit other than the expense and like you if I was to have someone else install a lift kit would go off there word over someone from the internet. That being said I worked in a Gm dealer for 10 yrs and Ford for 7 I was flat rate and ASE certified , I hold GM,Ford,Mitsubishi Fuso ,Isuzu, Chrysler and International Truck certifications ( granted many are from years ago). I have been running as Shop Dispatcher International Truck Dealership for about 6 years. So I feel that I can give the honest review of the kit I installed. I cannot review all of there products. I can also tell you from experience that alot of people that consider themselves mechanics will do more damage to your truck than any kit will. So looking for a reputable shop would be #1 concern if I was to have anyone work on my truck . Then I like you would probably go with what they recommend. I installed my kit myself. There were a couple issues I wrote a review in this thread about my experience. If people want to comment on their experience I can take accept that. What I can't accept is people saying RC is "shit" with no experience to back that up.
  18. Your opinion of RC is based on what ? The oversized leveling kits they make ? because everyone else make those also .The economy 4 inch kits are all that way . So if you look at there bracket drops and they knuckle lifts what is "shit" about them based on your personal experience. Last I check rough country has a lifetime parts warranty on parts failures. I am just curious because I hear this over and over but it usually from people who bought the crap oversize level kit or from someone who never installed one. I
  19. Neither of these are true bracket kits as they use knuckles or spindles to make the drop. Just a note that all knuckle kits increase your front end track. So the front will be wider than the rear unless you run spacers in the rear.
  20. In the end it's your truck and your money. It's kinda tough to go against what your local shops want you to install but I am willing to bet they never install the rough country bracket lift. Good luck with whatever lift you decide going with.
  21. The one thing I did when researching kits was read the installation manuals. The bds kit requires modification to your differential (that is not reversible) and welding. Also the Zone kit (made by BDS) is basically the same kit and cheaper. Read the manual its the same instructions. That being said my Rough Country bracket lift also required frame modifications, but its nothing that I am not confident I could not weld back together. That, the fact that I could run factory 20s and Price were a big factor for my decision. I have had zero issues with the kit and the truck rides great, alignment was almost dead on before the alignment was done . Its has been on since november. No squeaks or rattles . Just my input The Pro Comp kit they say is completely reversible
  22. Any knuckle lift will widen your track. If you buy the bracket lift from rough country it will not. However there is a lot more work involved. A ways back I posted about my installation that I did in November. I did my alignment right after only thing that had to be adjusted was tow. It's a good kit.but you need to be really good with tools to do it on your own. And it sucks doing it on jack stands.
