  1. Josh could you please delete my account. I no longer own a GM truck. I appreciate the information I received while on the forum.

  2. It is direct injection
  3. That was the total price for 2 visits to the dealership and 2 rental cars. The first visit was 2 injectors and the second was 6. I have to wait 2 weeks to get the parts for the second visit. I agree, it shouldn't cost that much but those are dealership prices. I am just glad I didn't have to pay out of pocket for it.
  4. My 2014 Chevy Silverado had 58K miles on it when I had the same issue. They replaced 2 injectors the first time and a week later another one went bad. They eventually replaced all of the injectors and luckily I purchased an extended warranty from USAA when I purchased the truck new in 2014. So far the extended warranty has paid out over $2600 total for the repairs and rental car. I had a rental for 2 weeks the second time because they didn't have any injectors in stock?????? The truck is running great now but I am afraid this problem will show up again down the road. I will probably trade the truck on a new Dodge RAM later this year. My wife's 2013 Hyundai Sonata with over 60K miles has direct injection and has never had an issue with fuel injectors.
  5. I got my truck back this morning after they replaced 6 more fuel injectors. I took them 2 weeks to get my truck fixed. So far all injectors have been replaced by the dealership. I am really considering getting another truck due to the reliability of these injectors. What will happen a year or two down the road?? I like the truck but don't want this headache later.
  6. I received a call Saturday from the service department stating that fuel injectors were back ordered and they didn't know how long before they would be available. WTF!!! Who is running the supply chain at GM!! It makes you wonder if these injectors are failing at such a rate they can't keep up. This is unsatisfactory!! I am paying for a truck I can't use and to make matters worse I need my truck for my upcoming vacation and the dealership doesn't know if they can provide me with a truck. After almost 4 years of ownership and almost 60K miles I was happy with my Chevy. I am fortunate I have the extended warranty, it has paid for itself after only two service visits. I will be researching other truck options once I get the truck back. I am concerned that the fuel injector failures will come back later down the road if GM doesn't change the design. I could be doing this again at 80K. The Dodge Ram is looking better every day:-(
  7. Update of code P050D. I had another defective fuel injector The extended warranty company authorized Chevy to replace the remaining 6 injectors. I was very pleased because I couldn't see myself coming in every couple of months to replace 1 or 2 injectors. Now the warranty is on GM for 12 months. Lets hope this is the last fuel injector issue I have with this truck.
  8. My 2014 Silverado had the same code P050D and I took it to the dealership and they replaced 2 defective fuel injectors. That was on 24 April 2018 and yesterday (7 May 2018) the code comes back????? I am taking the truck back to the dealership this afternoon for another diagnostic. I am sure it is fuel injectors. The technician suggested that I replace them all but my extended warranty wouldn't do it and I can understand that. If this is going to be happening every couple of weeks we have a serious problem! I purchased the truck new in 2015 and have 59,611 miles on it and this is the first major issue so far.
  9. I have the 6' 6" bed with no fitment problems. I have the bedrug.
  10. I have an OEM bedliner in my garage taking up space, it was never installed. Oh well, need to find someone in Virginia who needs one.
  11. Installed the Bakflip yesterday and I must say it looks nice! It wasn't hard to install, just followed the instructions. It rained hard last night and no rain in the bed of the truck! Thanks Chuck for the drain line mod..
  12. Hey Chuck what size 90 degree elbows are they? I will stop by Home Depot on the way home to pick them up. The cover arrives today. I appreciate the pic! Mike
  13. Thanks Chuck! I got it now. I will do as you instructed.
  14. So you didn't have tie downs in your bed? I have metal tie downs in front and back. I need to find another solution for water drainage. There are holes in the forward part of the bed for drainage, I could just point the hoses in that direction.
  15. I paid $717 shipped for my Bakflip G2, so they charge over 100 bucks an hour for labor! Maybe they didn't discount the price of the cover.
  16. Thanks!! I receive the cover next Tuesday. I will take your advice with the drain hoses. I will report back after the installation. I appreciate all of the comments! Mike
  17. I finally got my bedrug yesterday! I can't wait to install it and remove the factory drop in liner. My Bak G2 tonneau cover will be here next week to finish off the bed. Is there anything special I should know before installing the bedrug and tonneau cover?
