  1. Well I am happy to say mine has been fixed. The biggest problem was the ring & pinion. The ring had a tooth that was higher then the others so that was why at certain spped it would vibrate. I put a set of tires on and run snow tires in the winter and no vibration with either.
  2. point blank the problem is frame/body intensifies all the little imperfection. I am a GM employee and they warned us before the trucks even hit the road about the vibration. I should have listened but thought it couldn't be that bad. Boy was I wrong.
  3. I finally got 4 tires with the rfb numbers 6 and under. 90% vibration gone. The only problem I have is when I change my tire for snows in the winter. Right now it was covered under warranty but what happens when I need to change tires? I do not want to dismount these seeing how they finally got it right. I don't think I should have to fork up money for new rims for my snow tires especially when they ran fine on my 2013 silverado with all the same options.
  4. I spoke with the engineer on this and this would not do any good. The problem is when the truck reaches 40mph it creates a vacuum and sucks the air from the engine compartment out through the radiator(GM put the truck in the wind tunnel and found this out after the truck was built). I came out of a 2013 with the same options and the plow was transferred to the 2015. Never had a overheating problem with the 2013. The difference I see between the 13 and the 15 is the 15 eliminated the holes in the front bumper.
  5. So this is the e-mail I sent: You said to send a message about the vibrating chevy and here it is. I am a gm employee and have a 2015 Chevrolet WT with plow & towing package.Vin #1GCNKPEC4FZ250552 . The first time I took the truck on the highway the truck had 2400 miles on it. It shook so violent that my passenger was actually scared and asked what was wrong with the brand new truck. I brought it into o'neills chevrolet Avon Ct on 06-02-2015 ro76544 2465 miles. They road forced tires and replaced one and it did not fix the vibration.Brought it back 06-16-15 ro76985 2736 miles and swapped tires(all 4 ) off a non vibrating truck still did not fix the problem. Brought truck back in on 8-20-2015 4722 miles ro79072 put back original tires road forced and replaced one tire performed prop shaft measurements and adjusted with hose clamps.Vibrations still present. While road test with the pico scope was off the scale. I do have copies of the test. I recently put on my studded snow tires (seeing how I have a plow package this should be acceptable) which can not be road forced balance due to the studs and vibration still present. Problem number 2 is with the plow on I can not drive over 40mph with out the truck over heating. Per doc 4054428 the cure is not to drive over 40 mph. The min speed limit on the highway is 45MPH so you are saying either break the law or do not drive on the highway!!! So the long and short is I have a truck I can not drive on the highway over 65 in good weather and can not drive on any roads with the posted speed limit over 40 mph. I am a parts manager at O'neills Chevrolet and working with the service manager and spoke to the engineer on both problems with no cure for either problem. My contact info is work e-mail home phone Please contact me Joseph P. Consolini
  6. No you have to hook up the peco scope and it tells you where to put them
  7. I am a GM employee and having the same problem with my truck. I have been in touch with district manager and spoke to the engineers directly and no cure has been found. The problem is the new designed frame multiplies the vibration and shakes the truck. The picoscobe puts hose clamps on he drive shaft in a attempt to calm the vibration with no luck. Gm offered a buy back but they have nothing to offer that fits my needs and don't want to trade to another vibrator. I have a 2015 work truck regular cab short bed plow and tow package that I can not drive over 70mph year long and with the plow on you can not drive over 40mph ( a complete other problem gm has with out a cure)
  8. the problem is in the frame,. It is a new design and intensifies and carries vibrations. You can feel a bad front tire in the seat of your pants instead of the steering wheel. I am a GM dealer employee and my truck has the same problem. PArt of the other problem is GM pays 2hours to the tech to diagnose and repair the problem, so most techs just give up after a hour or two working on the truck because they don't want to work on it and not get paid. The tech that worked on my truck clocked just over 12 hours and with ohl got paid 5. Needless to say he wont be spending this kind of time on another one. My problem is about 70% fixed and now just wondering what will happen when I put my studded snows on for the winter??
  9. Well I know I am getting in on the tail end of the forum. I had a 2013 silverado WT and traded it in for the 2015 work truck. Identical options plow package tow package. It is like night and day. The 2013 rode like a Cadillac were the 2015 I have problems keeping it on the road due to such a hard ride and vibration. When I hit a bump the truck is all over the road and forget about taking it on the highway. The last time I did I thought I was going to loose both kidneys due to the violent shacking of the truck.I bought the truck in March and now have 2900 miles on it. I am on my 2nd set of tires and still seems no one has a clue on how or if the problem can be fixed. The sad part is I work for a GM dealership and can not honestly push there trucks knowing of the problems I am having with mine and still sleep at night.
