  1. I've been learning all this myself. Apple Carplay is suppose to project the items from your phone onto your screen when the device it plugged in. However, that only works with a few 'compatible' apps. From what I'm learning (but I could be wrong) - is if you plug in your device, the compatible apps will show up on your carplay screen. Which....I see the Apple video player is in there. ?? Curious....something else to experiment with! http://www.apple.com/ios/carplay/
  2. Hi Gang, For those who have the Homelink from factory in your Sierra/Silverado...... Not that you've ever had to open up the overhead console and look - but the actual Homelink module - is that something I can order separately without needing to order the entire overhead console? I just bought a 2016 Canyon SLT which doesn't have Homelink. My husband has installed many Homelink setups in previous vehicles (including this writeup on a corvette: http://www.lieblweb.com/homelink.html) We're looking at our options - while wanting to keep it clean and make it as factory looking at possible. I thought I'd ask about the fullsize modules and see if that's something I can order separately. We're still poking around to see how we want to do this ..... THANKS
  3. You can put some 'anti-seize' on the flat surface of the axle - where the drum comes in contact with it. I also put anti-seize on the lug nuts.
  4. After a year, you'd hope they've already addressed the issue with the 2015 trucks. I've been poking around reading about this 'wax' coating and the rust issues - and I haven't seen any complaints on 2015's. It's a shame you guys have gotta deal with that. And like I said... send some emails or phone GMC/Chevy Corporate and complain. You can tell them that "Toyota is replacing frames due to rust issues". WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR ME and keep me in a GM truck? Whatever it takes to put a bug up their ass! LOL
  5. Take it to the dealer and COMPLAIN!!! I don't own a GMC or Chevy but I do own a Toyota - and they've had rust issues since 1995. My current truck had the entire frame replaced under 'warranty' because it failed frame inspection. Take it to a couple different dealers if you have to - and get your 'commplaints' on file. See what they say...... If there's a wide enough problem, and enough people complain....they 'should' offer a solution. If you want...(and if you think it'll help) - tell them that Toyota is replacing frames for free!!
