  1. So why did GM just not use electric vette set up and save truck owners the risk of losing good engine over a 130 dollar external part .....crazy
  2. Seems like if vacuum pump fails it sends shards of metal into engine and thru oil pump leading to engine failure I believe.
  3. Damm that is a lot of wheel weight required to balance out shake .
  4. Scary that a 130 dollar part on outside of engine can destroy a good engine with no warning .
  5. Yes it sucks but my friend had a frame replace by toyota dealer because of rust a few years ago and he never had any issues.
  6. Any tell tale signs of vacuum pump failure or is it just no signs and just sudden failure .
  7. What exactly are they relocating where ?
  8. Looks like GM did not discriminate !!! Shit lights out front and back lol.
  9. And GM will keep saying its the tires !
  10. Amazing this shit built every day and being used on 40-50-60 thousand dollar trucks
  11. I would not be surprised if Dorman were made in China .
  12. Did GM change the composition of the rear spring bushings in 2014 ?
  13. This thread is more interesting to read than a spy novel. Either way 07Softail is digging and digging hard for a answer . No matter what I think he deserves a Kudo for that .
  14. On second thought maybe the engineering team enjoyed a very nice catered Chinese meal and the message was in a fortune cookie.
  15. LOL. That is comical as hell IMO. Wonder how GM determined their buyers are vibration sensitive ?
  16. Always keep you nuts tight and torqued.
  17. The v 6 will plow easily . that is why you have the transfer case with low range.
  18. Makes me wonder if GM has or does any quality control checking of parts and sub components. How else can you explain all the different parts and components that people report got changed and helped some but not all. It appears it might be tires, driveshaft , axles , torque converter, motor mounts, cab mounts, shocks and the list goes on.
  19. From what I have read on it is a man made material with leather ''dust'' particles mixed into it and bonded to the vinyl. If you thinking it is true leather hide it is not . Not even close for that matter.
  20. Well maybe GM corporate is really warming up to the moniker ''shakerado''. The 17 is still built the same as 14 isn't it ?
  21. I have been told that aluminum arms have larger ball joints. I do not know for a fact tho.
  22. I find it interesting that some of you are reporting that cold weather lessens or takes the shake away.
  23. I drive that section of new pavement 2 or 3 times a month and it does it every time . First time driving after repave wife and I both thought we were having a severe and sudden carrier bearing failure in the rear end. For some strange reason it makes them Bridgestone A/T tires sing and slight vibration in floorboard. We even drove it in her new Camry no tire singing but a very subtle vibration or more like a quiver felt in that too but nothing like truck.
  24. I have a 15 rcsb that does not vibrate or shake but they done some extensive paving on 95 between Augusta and Waterville . One 5 mile stretch southbound will put my tires to singing and can feel a very slight vibration . It is the only time the Bridgestone tires sing or hum and I can feel a very slight vibration. Nowhere else ....go figure .
  25. Found it interesting on you tube there are some F150 owners with fully boxed frames having vibration issues too. How many no clue but appears there out there too. One guy reported Ford thru a bunch of tires at it and checked drive shaft to no avail. Ford finally said operating normal and sent him on his way.
