  1. Thank you! About to get air bags in back as my dog box sags the truck a hair. Perfect size imho for a 4x4 truck
  2. Ya I like the subtleness of the factory wheels with some meats On them
  3. Nope. So far all is clear somehow. All I got is the 2.5" RC level/lift depending on who you ask. It's a level to me. No front wheel spacers. Was nervous to say the least. Fits like it should.
  4. Adding a few more pics but can only do 1 at a time.
  5. Well got tires on the old girl this morning. Discount matched a tremendous price on 33x12.50r20 nitto mud grapplers and I jumped on em. 30,760 on the factory tires and the RC 2.5" level. No rubbing I can see or feel lock to lock will update after some more flex and Offroad tests. Teaser
  6. Resurrection ! Hey what offset are these all terrain wheels? I believe my stock 20" SLE wheels are +25 tomorrow I'm getting 33x12.50r20 nitto mud grapplers installed have had my 2.5" level on for 30K on factory tires. Time for some meats though.
  7. That "bent out of shape" it wasn't really intended for anyone just at everyone. Catch my drift. I'm a firm believer in "to each his own". But I'm entitled to an opinion as well as you and the next 100000000 dudes. Just so we are clear! Also to your engineering comment, yes. Exactly 100% yes. Guys expect to retain factory or better their ride quality by going taller and bigger tires. Not really going to work. Lifts were designed with 1 thing in mind. Bigger tires and more ground clearance. Want a good plush ride run on air bags or hydraulics. Magna ride and what have you. You want bomb proof suspension go boxed uppers and lowers new axles and fiberglass fenders. Widen the stance plant the suspension where it needs to be oh and of course huge oil filled coilovers. But also pay the big $$$$$
  8. For durability and usability IFS will never be as good as straight axle, In my opinion. My next rig will be another jeep. As for these trucks. The fenders kill it for tire and wheel usage. Trucks from the factory should be slight front rake with helper springs or air bags in the back and 33" AT light truck tires vs all season P rated. Just pitiful. For $40k plus I feel robbed sometimes. The lack of off-road ability in these new trucks with traction control and weak shifts and lack of rear end options or actual truck gearing really sucks 4wd should disable tsc so you can spin the tires clean. Kind of silly to limit power when it gets soft and squishy. This is just My .02¢ Don't get all bent out of shape I like the 4" and 35 look but again if you cross any ditches or levies, or flex the suspension in general, I feel some damage resulting from tire contact. Dude I'll take a set whenever you feel like your ready to sell. Or donate them to a good cause!
  9. How are you doing it? Powder or paint? What's the specs?
  10. Dude that looks sweet.
  11. Update: Well, went and laid under the truck for a bit, Pulled a tape from furthest front of frame inside-inside 28". However they did change how the bracketry attaches the steel bumper shells to the mourning brackets and that kills us for width in that gap behind the license plate. Now I see why that shop built the guys $1k mount and "inverted" (Top Gun) his winch. So I'll go back to the drawing board. Try to figure out how to make something that fits in the space provided that the DIY guy can handle in a evening with cold beer and uncle Proto, or craftsman the choice is yours! They distance from the inside of bumper behind the license plate to the pipe cross section support/cross member that is partially covered by the plastic skid plate may be what changed from MY 13-MY 14 but I can't confirm this. If you have one or access to one please get me this info! Other than the factory bumper brackets screwing us up the RC support brackets and the base would fit just not with that bracketry taking up 94.3% of the space in that gap. I will find the solution! This is the driver side looking from inside rail to outer edge. Shows the new style bracket This is the passenger side from inside to outside. Bolts on opposite side, (outside) Look exactly the same as the inside of driver side picture.
  12. What tires are you running? I have same level no bounce or anything but I'm also still on factory 20 and 275/55 factory Goodyears. Best ride would be with fox or icon coilover set up. Even that will be stiff feeling though. As far as caddy quality. Go back to stock and get some bilstiens set to factory setting. Be the best ride. But for a litter or level truck it's no plush and comphy ride. At least from my experience. This is truck number 14 in 10 years. All lifted or leveled.
  13. I'll keep you in mind. That link is where I got the fab route from. Only issue I see with that is the winch being upside down not that it matters really for rate of pull and all but the clutch lever being exposed to stumps or rocks etc. plus that's a Chevy. Our bumpers are a bit different. Wish the guy knew more or divulged who did it. I'd like to talk with them.
  14. Thanks for the support! I'll have to Guinea pig this idea it's looking like. Or fab my own tray up. 1 way or another I'm strong a hidden winch on this truck! Introduce the GM fellas to the Powerwagon realm
  15. Update 2 : talked to my local dealer friend of mine works in parts. She confirmed that not only the body changed from 13-14 but also slight frame modification. I will go get some numbers on this change at lunch today. Will post the results.
  16. I'm going to look into that to. Depends where it can be positioned. Update: Just talked to the guys over at RC, unfortunately I asked about the 14+ hidden mount, said nothing on the books yet and no chatter about any future products. However I got dimensions of the 7-13 mount. Widest point is at 26.12" for the tray. I will pull a tape later today and confirm. May order that tray and retrofit it then build my skid plate accordingly. Also from fairlead to back of winch tray is roughly 12". Also if no dice 90 day no questions return. Can anyone confirm if the frame changed from 07-13,14-16 or just the bumpers?
  17. I will bud. If I could figure out the easy way to post pictures I will do that as well. I'm hoping the rc hidden mount will still bolt up in the frame then I can just cut the chrome on the bumper polish the edges and add he fairlead (hawse) for synthetic adding the barrier for sharp edges and be done with it.
  18. Nothing on RC site that I could find. I'll call them today on my lunch and see what i can get from them. Will update as I know.
  19. I was thinking vs a rename just go to account settings and delete account. Do us all a favor. Go read some of his posts in any other thread. He's a "God" in his eyes. Knows all and does all better than any other! Back to winch talk. Pulled some dimensions last night really quick like. Planning to pull the bumper after work one evening and do some real work!
  20. Well whatever "alpine" area you are from is clearly 1 of a kind bud. Ya GM is the reason I had to source for a lift/level. 1. Building a truck that sat so low it can't get over a freshly mowed lawn without dragging bumpers. 2. Removed payload eh? How so. Do explain. I wish you'd have told me this before I hauled my hunting truck on a 20' trailer 320 miles 1 way. Sure would have helped me. 3. No functionality you say? So being able to gain ground clearance while using the truck daily Offroad and fit an actual mud terrain or all terrain LT tire vs the P rated nonsense that comes on them from the factory Is gaining no functionality in your eyes. 4. You bash the Ridgeline but you bought a truck and then built it into a suburban minus the functioning seating in said suburban. Talk about "functionality". But that's your rig. If you want a big rubber dildo superglued to the front and on top of both mirrors. Hey it's more seating for your buddies. I've run RC, BDS, Rancho, Fox Coilovers and standard PA Body lifts. Depends what your using the truck for. I needed quick and easy height gain. Got it and have had 0 issues thanks, according to you, to "GM".
  21. Thanks for the helpful and well thought out response. FYI ive had a Rough Country 2.5" level on my truck now for 30,000 hard miles. I'm not easy on my stuff. No issues. Been buried up to the rockers in sticky mud. Been bounced on mountains and front wheels off the ground on gravel roads from being wash boarded so bad. Not 1 loose bolt, broken part, worn or torn cv boot, no u joint issues, no broken kit pieces.... Take it elsewhere man.
  22. I'm not overly worried about the scuff and dents in the front as I am the radiator and all that. I like a replacement for small animals like a Prius, civic that decides to jump out into the highway! No seriously. It's a stout design you ran with. And I don't question the strength of the mounting. Weston is reputable. Honestly I think it just looks, half assed. Like they looked at it and said lets just add 2 feet on the front and be done with it.
