  1. I've got a 2015 Sierra with same problems. Flipping channels, jumping icons, putting calls on mute or hold. Mentioned it to my dealer who said, "Gee I've never heard of this." Immediately realized I was on my own, LOL. Tried everything. Disconnecting battery, pulling fuses, nothing seemed to work. I ordered a new touch screen and digitizer from Amazon. Very easy to install. Takes about 20 minutes. Drove the truck for 30 minutes following and all seemed well. Next time I drove it, the same problems returned. Coulda put my fist through the screen! Couple days later after regaining my composure, I removed the screen and digitizer. I took WD-40 Contact Cleaner and sprayed the heck out of everything even spraying it into the CD player. Two weeks later and so far, so good. Crazy to me how there doesn't seem to be just one fix for this problem. I fully expect a class action lawsuit.
  2. Got this message once in my 2015 Sierra. After reading this thread I was excited to try it the next day and see if it actually worked. The next day, my compass was back to normal. I guess I'll never know.
  3. Took my vehicle in for servicing and mentioned the ear ringing chime volume and that I thought there was a TSB to remedy it. They looked at me like I was nuts. But said they would check on it. They found nothing and it still rings my ears when it goes off. Annoying as hell.
  4. Good Lord, is that for real??? If so, is that poor man still breathing?
  5. Gotta thin the herd somehow.
  6. I'm calling my dealer today! The only thing I've been able to find is to pull the key out and stick it back in. Obviously that only works if the engine is off.
  7. How can I tell if my truck is UQ3 or UQA?
  8. As many have said before........if you live in the north country................
  9. Lund 5" Oval black nerf bars. Took me about an hour total to do both sides. About another hour to figure out where the rattle was coming from on the driver's side. Finally discovered the annoying rattle was the rear mounting bracket vibrating against rocker panel. No matter how much I tightened it I could not get rid of it. Finally ended up putting a little rubber bushing between the bracket and the rocker panel and that solved it. Other than that, very simple install. $242 at Realtruck.com. Autoanything matched the price less $1. then a mail in $50 rebate. So $191 total. Seem slike a pretty sweet deal to me. I will say that after I've got them on, I kinda liked the look of the truck without them. But wifey is very happy and you married guys know how important that is. Sorry, I have pics. Trying to upload them now, but no luck so far. Eventually I'll figure it out. #oldguyproblems
  10. I will do that as soon as they are shipped and I get them installed.
  11. Found 5" black nerf bars by Lund on realtruck.com for $242. Went to autoanything.com who had them listed at $320. They beat the price by a $1 and there is a $50 mail in rebate. Great deal. Sorry guys, unfortunately, the rebate is now expired. Still a good price without the rebate, though.
  12. If I'm ordering online, is there any way to tell which ones are thin walled an which aren't?
  13. Just getting back into the truck scene. Haven't had one in about 12 years but with gas prices down I couldn't resist the comfort and convenience. When it comes to nerf bars, I understand that 3" bars are pretty wimpy and difficult to use but why would anyone need 8" nerf bars?? Wouldn't 4" or maybe 5" be enough for just about any situation? Is there some rule of thumb as to what size bars to get?
