  1. Decided to de-badge my 2015 (all but the Z71 4x4 badge) and add 80% ceramic tint, which apparently blocks 40% of heat transmission. Honestly, each day I am of a different opinion...one day its like "yup, looks way cleaner on a regular cab", and the next "I think it makes the truck look less fancy" lol
  2. Ordered the sensor, we'll see how that goes. Don't really care about dual climate control feature, just want to have it adjust fan speed automatically. Thanks guys!
  3. Rev44 - your truck would look good de-badged.
  4. Thanks! Really appreciate that. I will assume the exiting wiring is already in place haha.
  5. same "mild" drop setup as mine, nice!
  6. The thread here (http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/188524-dual-climate-control-for-2014-2016-silverado/) ...........in the Buy & Sell section got me thinking ............Hmmm, maybe this would work? I have a 2015 GMC Sierra SLE Reg Cab, and I thought it would be a great idea to have the Automatic Climate Control feature; set the temp and let the system figure out the rest. The seller does state it's "Plug and Play", right? Wrong! So I picked a head unit up off eBay for $100. I figured, what the heck! It probably won't work, and maybe all I will get is a digital temperature readout. Anything else would be a bonus. Install takes all of 10mins. Original Unit: New Unit: The Rear Connection Port: The dual climate control feature does not work. When you change the drivers side temp, the passenger side follows suit The Automatic Climate Control feature does not work. You still adjust temp and fan blower separately. So all you really get is a digital temp readout. Hope this saves some of you owners a few $$$
  7. I ended up buying the redesigned GMC rubber floormats. They are REALLY nice, and cover the door sill as well. Not stiff, not soft, somewhere in between Goldilocks says
  8. Hmmm, ok...........I have mine on my RCSB in the softest setting. I'll have the shop move it to the middle. Might as well try it right?
  9. @ thetruck54 and 07Softtail..............can you comment on the difference in ride quality and handling when set to the softest setting versus the middle setting?
  10. I really love 22's on an RCSB, but for me, that's gonna be well down the road.
  11. What have you RCSB owners go with for rubber all-weather style floormats? Not a fan of the stiffness of the Weathertechs The Husky X-Act Contours won't fit The Husky Weatherbeaters seem to have the same stiffness at the Weathertechs Are there any other high quality well made options?
  12. 2015 RCSB Z71 with a 2/4 drop, Helwig Sway Bar, Katskinz leather interior, and Fold-aCover Tommeu
  13. FWIW, my 2015 Z71 Regular cab measured 36.25" front and 40" rear on the drivers side. Not sure if you have the aluminum block in your rear suspension like I had, but removing that yields a 1 3/8" drop
  14. Installed Hellwig's sway bar on my 2015 Sierra SLE Z71 Regular cab regular box, and the difference is significant. Much less body roll, definitely a sportier ride, and no noticeable negatives as far as ride quality. Try punching the throttle on your truck from a stand still and turning left or right through an intersection. My truck hardly leans at all and is planted.
  15. New 2015 Z71 SLE with Fold-aCover, 2/4 drop, and Katskinz leather
  16. Well, I can only compare them to the Ranchos, and I can tell you its a much plusher ride. The Ranchos were just gross, bouncy, made the truck feel like it was twisting all over the place. Feels much more planted now. And yeah, its a Z71 4x4 done up as a street truck, so what? Haha. I couldn't find a an SLE 4x4 anywhere
  17. I think the caddy is fantastic! It's the whole reason I chose Fold-a-Cover over other suppliers. Everyone I show it to goes "Wow!". It fits really snug, and I can remove it in about 60 seconds with a second pair of hands if I need more box space. The adjustable tray option is really handy, especially in a Reg Cab, where I don't have a back seat to throw a few bags of groceries. That's what i use the tray for mostly, or for storing anything I need quick access to.
  18. No disrespect to the original poster, but you will notice a very big difference in the fit of the finished product when it is done professionally. Here is my 2015 SLE RCSB that I had perforated Katskinz installed a week after I bought the truck 2 weeks ago. Tight!
  19. As per Katskinz themselves, and Automotive Styling Center here in Vancouver who do the installs, and have been doing custom interiors for like 30 years, Yes, the rear seats are vinyl, as are the sides and backs of the front seats.
  20. The Belltech struts they put on mine are the BEL25004, and the shocks were the BEL8504 Nitro Drop 2. RWD = 2WD
  21. Agreed, put Hellwig's swaybar on my 2015 RCSB, and it handles significantly better, even low speed city driving/turning. Question for the OP. The bar allows you to have 3 different settings, soft, medium, and stiff. My shop set me up on the softest. Where are you set at?
  22. 2014 Sierra SLE Z71 with a 2/4 (which actually measures 1.75" lower in the front, and 3.25" lower in the rear) Components: Helwig Sway Bar Belltech front adjustable struts Belltech rear shocks Belltech rear lowering kit (shackles, U-bolts, plates etc) Consistent with many other owner's feedback, the Belltech's are a huge improvement in ride quality over the very harsh Ranchos that come on a Z71. As for the Hellwig sway bar, and I gotta tell ya.............it transforms the truck. Sure, it sits flat railing around a cloverleaf on the freeway, but you can really feel the difference ALLthe time, even just pulling away from a light and turning left or right, it feels way tighter/flatter. There are three stiffness settings for the sway bar, and they set me up at the least stiffest of the three to start. I'll have them adjust it to the stiffest and let you folks know how it feels.
  23. Just installed a Fold-A-Cover G4 Elite with their caddie and have to say I am very impressed. Probably one of the more expensive systems out there, but it looks great, functions great, and is 95% watertight.
