  1. since I have driven 5 trucks and they all do it, I'm just going to accept it as normal and learn to accelerate harder that first shift of the day Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  2. I have noticed it mostly does it when I back out out of my driveway first then start going forward. This morning it was in the 30s, that first shift from 1 to 2 felt like the transmission slipped. Enough that it actually made my body go forward in the seat a bit like you you were shifting a manual. After that first 1-2 shift of the day it goes back to being normal. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  3. I asked my dealer. I have harsh 1-2 shift the first couple shifts in the morning when cold. Gm has a bulletin #16-NA-361 that says its normal due to the initial clutch fill time on the 2-3-4-6-8 c4 clutch. Advise customer it's normal and won't affect reliability or performance. Replacing transmission won't fix it. I have driven 5 19s so far and they all do it to some degree. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  4. The only way this becomes a safety issue and recall is if everyone of the affected owners files a claim to NHTSA. It needed over 200 complaints on the k2 vacuum pump brake failure I had on my 16 before they sent a letter to gm to investigate. This could be as simple as one bad batch of hoses that was used for a few weeks. GM will figure out real quick if it is cheaper to replace 100,000 hoses or a couple thousand engines. If the owner shuts off the engine quick enough, this could be a simple as replacing the line and filling it up with oil. I looked at my lines yesterday and I don't see any signs of oil seepage at the crimps. Mine is August 2018 build ft. Wayne Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  5. Good thing my OnStar subscription trial ends in two days Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  6. I'm going to check my lines for any sign of defect/oil seepage. And keep checking them, although it may just go without any other sign. I think if mine does go I would rather just let it runs till engine seizes. Start it once more just to be sure, then call OnStar. Think I would rather have a new motor than worry about damage from running on no oil. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  7. Rained all night. Still dry in my truck this morning. That's a first Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  8. That is probably September? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  9. Well you can also get a sense by the VIN number. The last six digits is a sequential build number. Mine is 107xxx so it was the 7,xxx truck built on 8/18. If you look at your Chevy app on your phone what is the first 3 of the last 6 digits? I'm also a western NY truck. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  10. There is a bulletin #18-na-254 info on oil residue found on oil cooler lines during PDI but not sure if it's related. I looked at www.repairprocedures.com but don't see any other bulletins about oil cooler lines. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  11. One of the stickers on the driver door jam has a date on it. Also your Vin starts with 1 it's a US truck 3 Hecho en Mexico Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  12. What is the build date and assembly plant for all these trucks with blown oil lines? Is there a pattern or is this totally random so far? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  13. That sounds like a good option. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  14. I actually deleted my profile and going to try just being the guest profile. See if that helps Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  15. Trying to recreate my steps, I believe I started my truck, and plugged in my phone to Android auto while the Chevy logo was still loading on touch screen. Maybe that caused some sort of glitch in the software and it reset? Considering my truck was in the shop 23 days for a rear window leak, this is small potatoes but somewhat annoying nonetheless. If this happens to anyone else, try to document your steps of things you did during start-up. Maybe we can isolate a common step that is causing it. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  16. Wow. Did you take a picture of it? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  17. Wow. A sensor? I stand corrected. That is crazy. Maybe that is why the calipers are bigger on the T1s? I am sure everything will be twice as expensive to replace. I would rather have adjustable brake pedals than engineering spent on a brake sensor that doesn't work Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  18. Set all my favorites yesterday, like 15 of them. Today they are gone on the top of the infotainment screen, but they are still saved when I use the buttons on the back of the steering wheel. I only have one profile set. Anyone else have this happen? Restarted truck and they are still missing. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  19. Trust me when all three neighbors drive F150s and poke fun at you 2 or 3 times a day for 23 days it gets old real quick. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  20. Make sure you print that TSB out and bring it with you. And make sure they test it with a hose real good after 24 hours to make sure no leaks before you bring it home. Strange that you had that many miles and it just started leaking now? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  21. I would guess it's all software. I doubt they have a sensor to monitor brake pads. Do yourself a favor and just turn off that page in the DIC and check your brakes at 30k miles. My loaner truck which I got at 6 miles had 300 miles on it and had already "used" 4% of the brake pads and I drive mostly highway Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  22. The front window was removed and reinstalled to get new headliner in. The rear window had cracks that I verified, but they followed the gm bulletin to caulk it with sealant. First time still leaked, second time it stopped leaking so gm would not authorize replacing the window unless it starts leaking again. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  23. Check out the water leak thread on the main page for 19 trucks. I had similar water stains and they replaced my headliner but it requires the front window to be removed so pick your poison. If it only leaked once then I would let them try to shampoo first before gutting your truck. There is a bulletin for this repair in the big window leak post. I would print it out and bring it with you to review with service advisor. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  24. Well this journey didn't start well, but I think it ended well. On day 23 I picked up my truck on the way home. It was spotless on the inside and out. I could not tell they had the front window out and headliner replaced. I could tell they shampooed the carpets as it had that faint smell of carpet shampoo that hopefully will go away in a few days of driving with the windows down. It was pouring rain when I picked it up, and I was out standing in the rain when I got home soaking it for 10 minutes with a hose. No leaks. Although my f150 neighbors must really think I'm nuts with 5 trucks in 4 weeks and I'm standing in the rain in my dress shoes soaking my truck with a hose. I received separate phone calls from gm customer care, the service manager, and my sales consultant to make sure everything was ok. I have to say after driving in a regular LT for 3 weeks, I am really glad I bought the trail boss. The Bose radio alone is worth the upgrade. I still have my doubts long term but I am going to keep a positive outlook and try to enjoy my "new" truck. I am excited to put this behind me and hope everyone else gets their trucks squared away. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  25. Well if it makes you feel any better you are not alone. Time to escalate to service manager and gm district rep Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
