I just completed installing four additional LED lights in the cargo bay and spliced them into the factory LED harness so it can be operated with the factory switch. When I find time and warmer temps I'll pull power from the trailer + lead and wire that into the LED's harness along with a momentary switch that closes the circuit when the gate is open. I'm not worry about back-feeding the harness because the factory switch will be off when I'm at the back. Even if both are on they would both be feeding 12+ so no damage will result. At least that's how I rationalised not using a diode

I had the unfortunate part of stretching out my tank to fumes. Pumped 97L (21.27 gallons - based on 1.14L=1Qt) on my ccsb. Just read about the fuel pump requiring cooling. Not doing that bone head move again!

Oh yeah, replaced all my gage cluster motors and battery. Still love my truck though since it's easy to service and I can see the ground when I look down in the engine compartment

I upgraded my '95 ecsb for the 2005 ccsb just because the other one was 10 years old. I never had so many issues on my '05 than I did with my '95. The only thing that went on the '95 was a wiper motor. On my '05 I had to fix/replace: - intermediate shaft (3 times until warranty ran out, then I lived with it) - front wheel hub - front impact sensor (the service air bag light just lit yesterday so now it'll be two...) - trailer wire harness at rear connector Other than that I upgraded my truck with: - factory clearance lights - two sets of lights on the bumper and under the rear - double din Kenwood radio/GPS - Alpine 10" LCD rear DVD player (for the kids that never really used) - jumped my relays so the low beams and high beams and fogs stay on in low or high conditions. other than that - I'm happy with it - but getting the spending itch... Mine just reset itself to 28 hrs and at 143,000 kms. I thought it was a Christmas gift and someone forklifted a new motor under the hood.

Actually, we're already beggin' the newcomers to go back. The place is overflowing with people, growth is out of hand, my $135,000 house purchased 10 years ago would now cost me a half-million, and trust me, it's not what I would think of as a half-million dollar home. Roads are crammed like never before. Thank goodness I'm only a few miles from work and the opposite way traffic flows in the morning and night. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's so true - I just came back from 4 days in Bonita Springs. S.Tamiami Trail s. of Coconut Road is contruction hell - I saw it back in September and they're still at it!
