That's all that secures the front of the console.Without it I think you could have some rattles or sqeaks eventually

For anyone thinking about a Borla Exhaust system Their warranty is no joke. I had an isue with mine recently(on truck for over 2 yrs) and after contacting them a new system was on it's way within 24 hrs. Amazing customer service,big thanks to Chris@ Borla

They actually are nicer than the factory leather

FYI if you get a set for the 16/17(also fits 14/15) the backs are part of the cover just like factory and you don't reuse the plastic seat back panels.Looks nicer too. Installed a set on my 14 a few weeks ago turned out beautiful.

This is actually pretty easy.While you are pushing upward on the bottom clip(make sure you're on the clip and not the alignment pin)with your other hand give the panel a smack inward.The clips have a bit of a hook to them and don't want to let go by just pushing up on them.Once both bottom clips are released you can pull the panel downward and wiggle it side to side and the top will come loose. Tried to post some photos of the back of a panel for you but it won't let me.Says file too big??? I see on another thread you're doing katzkins.Jut a tip lay them out in the sun first so each piece is hot to the touch when you put it on and you won't have any wrinkles.
