  1. Is your truck connecting to your home wifi, or cell phone hot spot, or a onstar data package? It needs some way to connect to the internet to download the updates
  2. After talking with a GM tech, that seemed to know what he was talking about, he told me to put a trickle charger on my battery overnight, that most always when the check for updates is greyed out, that means the battery needs extra charging, and according to him, its a battery in one of the modules, not necessarily the main starting battery. I did this, and then took a 10 mile trip, and when I shifted to park in my garage the message popped up to install the update, which installed successfully. I still don't have a couple of the latest updates from what I've seen, but maybe they will install now at some point.
  3. My truck is trying to install GM update N25-F163BU, my gmc app shows that is the new update file, but when I go to check for updates its greyed out, and I get the message the update cannot be installed, try when I shift to Park next time, but I've been shifting to park for a month now and the update doesn't install, my truck does stay in the garage, but has a very good connection to my home wifi. My biggest annoyance is the audio cutouts during the first few minutes of driving, my dealer keeps telling me GM is working on an update. My build number appears to be the same as yours newdude.
  4. Just wanted to get a idea of how many of you still have problems with your radio cutting out during the first few minutes of driving, my 2024 GMC Sierra still does this after a little over 2 years of complaining to my dealer about it, and OTA updates no longer complete, the check for updates in settings is greyed out for the second time while trying to install a update, my dealer took about a week to play around with it the first time this happened, and somehow got the check for updates to work, even though it would always show system is up to date when I knew it wasn't, now again 1 month later its greyed out again when the OTA update N25-F163BU tried to install, which ironically is the update to help with reliability of future updates.

  6. Just had my 2024 Sierra SLT LZ0 in the shop for oil leak, dealer diagnosed it as an oil pan leak, 2200 miles. Took a week for them to remove and replace oil pan, so far I haven't seen any leaking oil.
  7. I don't know where you go, all the manufactures are having issues with recalls, you see one of them each week recalling lots of vehicles. I have the LZ0 Duramax in my 2024 GMC Sierra, love the truck and fuel mileage so far, but now at only 2200 miles I have a oil leak, my dealer is working on trying to figure out where its coming from, certainly hope its not the rear main seal, pretty sure the transmission will have to be removed if it is.
  8. Unfortunately no, they no longer have the HD radio in the newer trucks
  9. What is the difference in towing capacity of the 5.3L Gas vs 3.0L Diesel, in the standard configuration, without the max trailering package? My 3.0L (LZ0) shows 8800lb for conventional trailer on the drivers side bottom door panel, thought it would be a little more than that, just curious what the 5.3L is rated at with the same configuration.
  10. Thanks for the update, I ordered one from Amazon, I will see how it performs soon.
  11. Which one did you order? Curious, does it allow you to mirror any app that is on your phone, or just certain ones?
  12. I have had my 2023 Sierra SLT for 10 months, and have a couple bugs that I can't quite figure out, Audio briefly cuts out when I first start a drive, maybe for 2 seconds, happens maybe 2 or 3 times in the first couple minutes of driving, then doesn't seem to happen until the next time I start a new trip, I've read some posts that I think referred to this issue, but haven't noticed if anyone has found a solution or update that fixes it, my local dealer acknowledged it was a issue but a update should fix it? Which leads me to the 2nd bug, I have had maybe 6 OTA updates since I purchased the vehicle, and all but 1 installed successfully, the one that included the Alexa App failed, and apparently according to my dealer, the only way to get this update is at the dealer? And it takes a couple hours to install at the dealership, which seems crazy long to me, when all the other OTA updates I had to successfully install, only took at most 10-15 minutes. Does anyone have GM OTA update number for the Alexa update, that I can provide to my dealer? Hoping that it also resolves the brief audio cut outs I mentioned above?
  13. Looks like there is a kit that might be what we are looking for: https://infotainment.com/shop/exterior-accessories/digital-rear-view-mirror-cameras/2019-2023-silverado-or-sierra-factory-oem-backup-rear-camera-lcd-mirror/
  14. Would be interested in doing this to my 2023 as well
  15. This might do the trick, https://boostautoparts.com/products/bed-cargo-and-reverse-wiring-harness-2019?rq=th_chevy~yr_2023~mk_silverado-1500
  16. Thanks for the responses, no desire for super cruise, and yes I found the writeup in the manual, it's working as intended, guess I just thought it should work similar to my Honda Accord, which does a descent job of keeping the vehicle centered in the lane for 10-15 seconds
  17. Yea I'm not looking for automation, just wondering if it was normal for it sway back and forth from both lines, my car does a good job of keeping center for roughly 10-15 seconds, the lane keep assist I'm experiencing with the truck, doesn't start any correction until you are already on the line
  18. Notice that Lane Keep Assist on my 2023 GMC Sierra, doesn't do very good at keeping you centered in your lane, it will Ping Pong from both sides of the lane, is this what most everyone is experiencing, or is there a adjustment that makes better at keeping you centered?
  19. I also had this update pop-up on my screen, I selected to install, but it failed, and never installed? Now when I check for updates it says my vehicle is up to date, but this update that includes the Alexa app never installed? Any way to get the update to show back up?
  20. Anyone know of a option for HD radio, since that has been deleted from the new refreshed radios? Maybe a app that has the option to get your local hd radio stations?
  21. Same here, would like Alexa as well
  22. Is this a OTA software/firmware update? I just installed the update that allows me to continue receiving updates, on my 2023 Sierra, is this a newer version?
  23. Not sure I would want to do this on my new truck, but do you have any pictures? I would like the ambient outside temp sensor to be as accurate as possible, but by placing the sensor in the passenger side mirror housing, it will never be all that accurate, the environment of the road will always add several degrees to the reading, no matter where the sensor is located on a vehicle. After parking my truck a few mornings ago, with the outside temp being in the mid 40s, I noticed when I got back in the truck the display showed the temp reading as 88F, due to the fact the sun was heating up the passenger side mirror, as a result my AC and ventilated seats came on, even though the temp was in the 40s. I feel that the proper placement of the sensor is still in the front grill in front of the radiator , my Honda Accord even allows you to make adjustments to the outside temp reading +/- 5F or so, which would be nice in this case as well, but wouldn't solve the fact of the AC coming on in the situation I mentioned above, would be nice to be able to re-locate the temp sensor.
