  1. I have a 2019 Silverado Trail Boss LT and the brakes have been squeaking for the past 7 months. They squeak all the time throughout the day whether it's cold, warm, wet or dry. Doesn't matter what the environmental circumstances are. I took it in back in August 2019 and they said they are acting like they should due to the condensation. Ohhhh K... I took it back in beginning of October for Oil Change and Squeaky brakes again. They said they couldn't replicate the issue. Hm... Did you try? I am so fed up with the squeak so I took it back in in December. They finally replaced the front pads and spun the rotors. Still squeaky. I have had it back in twice since then. They tell me they couldn't replicate the issue. I have sent them several videos of the squeak... They agree, it's bad. They finally ordered back pads this time and hope that fixes the issue. They also mentioned that they have had a few other new trucks come in with the same issue. I don't understand how some of these comments indicate to just sand off the glaze from the rotors, buy different pads, lube or do some other DIY band-aid fixes. These are NEW TRUCKS and you shouldn't have to deal with that. If it were an older truck, yes, I'd probably buy different pads or DIY something at home. it's principal!
  2. Received a text from my local Chevy dealer yesterday letting me know that GM has figured out a fix for the Brake Problem. I asked her to send me the documentation. I have attached it for your review... I do not have a lot of confidence at this point, but what else can I do but take their word for it and see what happens! They told me today that my truck is fixed and ready for pickup. Wish me luck! I'll keep everyone posted on how it goes.. 3. Not sure how to merge other feeds of the same topic, but I thought I would at least put the link to another feed I am following on here about this same issue. What can we do from a legal perspective? Can we demand GM/Chevy purchase these vehicles back from us so we can start over with a new truck?
  4. Thanks for the feedback! My 2004 Silverado was always accurate. I guess I am too much of a perfectionist. I expect things on a new truck to be accurate or work in general ; ) No biggie, more of an annoyance than anything else!
  5. 2019 Silverado Trail Boss LT Z71: 9,500 miles My ambient air temperature reading on the infotainment system has always been about 7 - 10 degrees higher than what the actual temperature is. I have taken it into the dealer 2 times. The first time, they "Said" they tested it and it looked normal. I doubt they tested anything as it was just one of the items on a list of about 5 other things they were doing with my truck. I took a pic of the temp on my phone/watch next to the infotainment temp and it showed an 8 degree difference. They said to keep an eye out for updates to the system.. Ugh. I took it in again about 2 weeks ago and a different dealer replaced the sensor. Apparently it is in the passenger side mirror? Anyway, that did not fix the issue. It is still not accurate! I read another post on a different site and it said to try an instant update by: To perform an instant update of the Ambient Temperature Sensor, simultaneously press and hold the Re-circulation button and A/C button on the HVAC control head. I am going to try this over lunch - i'll update my post soon. Anyone else have this issue?
  6. Same issue. I have disconnected Bluetooth until a solution has been found. Otherwise, I forget to turn the phone volume back up and I miss texts & calls.
  7. 2019 Silverado Trail Boss LT Z71: 9,500 miles My brakes have been squeaking for a couple of months now. I finally took it into the dealer yesterday to have them check everything. To me, it sounds like the noise is coming from the front brakes, but could be wrong. Either way, they told me the brakes look good. They said that they have heard about this issue on the 2019 trucks and it's normal in cold weather & condensation on the rotors. I agree with the original poster - it's embarrassing when your brand new truck is making annoying squeaking noises!!! GM - Please provide a fix!
  8. 2019 LT Z71 Trail Boss: 9,500 Miles I am almost positive that it is related to Bluetooth. My iPhone 8+ on v.13.1.3 and previous versions would always experience this volume issue. Recently, my daughter wanted to watch YouTube on my phone but didn't want the sound to play over the speakers - just the phone. So I disconnected my phone from Bluetooth on the truck. Since then, the volume has not been lowering when I get into my truck. I usually connect my phone to USB & Bluetooth. But lately, it has only been USB. no volume issue since... So.. Sounds like could be a Bluetooth issue!
  9. I'm not sure if my issue is related to this post, but I will post my problem anyway... I have a 2019 Trail Boss Z71 LT with 9,500 miles. Since I purchased this truck in February 2019, I have had issues with my infotainment system. Most common is that when I turn my truck back on after stopping at the gas station, gym, store... basically, anywhere.. the infotainment system comes up, but no music will play. I have to actually touch the screen to get the music to play. It's annoying and very weird.
  10. My 2019 Trail Boss has been doing this from the day I bought it. I saw a post earlier that mentioned something about "engine relearning" I have 9,500 miles now and it still does it. When my wife is riding with me it freaks her out every time and she looks at me as if it is my fault. I have not taken my truck in for this specific issue, but it appears it would be a waste of time anyway. I'll monitor this post to see if there has been any fixes - or another "Recall". I have had my truck since Feb 2019 and love the truck, but seems like the little issues are adding up and causing a lot of frustration. 1. Brakes Squeak - Had Chevy dealer look at this yesterday, they said it's normal. 2. This issue - hesitation and jerk when going forward the first time 3. Ambient Air Temperature reading - has always been about 7 - 10 degrees higher than the actual temperature outside - had Chevy dealer replace the sensor, still way off. 4. Entertainment System - When I start my truck after stopping somewhere (Gas station, gym, store etc...) about 85% of the time, no music plays. The system comes up and shows the station, however, until I touch the screen, nothing plays. Weird & Annoying. 5. I'm sure I am forgetting something.. ha.
