  1. Ty again Phil. Much appreciated.
  2. ps If you’re thinking of this mod, look at the part numbers @pgamboa posted in an earlier thread. The wheel has changed in number.
  3. I’d like to thank @TinkeringFox for his video and @pgamboa for his help. I did the heated wheel mod after work, and I’m very excited to have it ready for the cold winter. For those who have the heated wheel, do you notice whether the wheel maintains co start heat or cycles a little bit. It might just be imagining things. I did want to add a few things. The steering wheel nut on my truck was 21 mm in size. I also wanted to,post a pic of the airbag with the two sensors. Overall, a very nice mod if you’re willing.
  4. @pgamboa On a side note, went to my dealer to look at a seat lever issues, and the tech did a double take on my DL3 mirrors. Looked for second, and moved on. lol. pgamboa has confused DePaula Chevrolet tech. Lol.
  5. Thanks for the information. Does anyone know what the torque specs are for the steering wheel nut?
  6. Thanks Phil once again. Is there any change that would significantly deviate from Tinkering Fox’s video being that the 1500 have an extra plug?
  7. Thanks for making the video Tinkering. Much appreciated.
  8. So, the bottom line is that they’ll be two connectors for the airbag on a 1500 Silverado instead of only one on a 2500? Will there be two plugs and wires under the dash as well? And sorry to ask, but I just want to confirm. Are these the correct part numbers? Steering Wheel - GM (84222909) Clock spring Part Number:23381964
  9. I guess I’ll consider myself lucky, but I went out this morning to apply this mod, and I have very little flex in the pedal or bracket. I pulled back the carpet, and something seems to be bracing the bracket or taking out the slack. . There’s still a tiny amount, but I attribute that to being plastic. I honestly didn’t realize the gas pedal was plastic as well. Lol. Unless the bracket starts to flex more, I think I’ll leave it alone. I have an 18 Silverado. Thanks for this thread. It was a great read though.
  10. I just “installed” the Range AFM disabler today, and it has made the truck definitely more pleasant to drive. Aside from my catback exhaust, I just like how the truck seems to hesitate and struggle with gears less without the v4 mode. I drove around in different scenarios, and I can see losing some mileage on the highway, but much of my driving is 40-50 with rolling hills and the AFM just annoyed me by constantly engaging -disengaging. I also noticed that I got fewer weird, hesitating down shifts when coming to a stop with AFM disabled. Truthfully this is a small sample size of miles based upon one day, but I love the truck even more as long as the Range device continues to work as it did today. I know the price is up there, but I like the idea of unplugging it when I need to go to the dealer. Just my two cents for now. I paid 189 with free shipping directly from Range in order to get the newest version. So far so good. I’ll update in a few weeks. Take care.
  11. Ha Phil. I was just being goofy. I know there isn’t a wire in these trucks you haven’t scouted. I’m envious but appreciate the education and help you’ve given me with the mods I’ve worked on. I couldn’t have accomplished them without your help and product. I’m thinking heated steering wheel next.
  12. Lol. He should think about opening up those door panels to see if any modifications are possible. Haha.
  13. Well...the SLP catback hasn’t gone over well with the Mrs, so I’m going to try to quiet it down. Anyone had a resonator welded into an existing catback system to quiet it down? The v4 isn’t great either, but mainly she isn’t thrilled with the overall loudness. Any appreciation and suggestions are welcome. Ty. I would use use something like this: https://vibrantperformance.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=1527_1032_1054&products_id=292&osCsid=cdb8e138ad1fefd51b22aaad211b746c
  14. I think i paid about the same. I use it all the time because our driveway is steep
  15. I’ll have to check, but I didn’t notice it Until I parked it In the garage.
  16. Lower for sure. Seems louder from passenger side. Truck is 3 months old . Could be off about passenger side but definitely lower.
  17. I just noticed a rhythmic tick when i started the truck in my garage the other day. First time I’ve ever noticed. At idle, it’s a slowly paced tick that I notice from under the truck. Not a fast paced like something’s vibrating. Is this a fuel pump
  18. As others have said, you’ll need @pgamboa harness and a folding mirror factory switch. I would advocate doing it if you’re thinkjng about it. I was able to do it in one afternoon going extremely slow.
  19. Installed DL3 mirrors in replacement of DL8. A small but cool mod.
  20. @pgamboa I just wanted to give credit to Phil for his help, support, awesome product, and great videos. I was able to convert my DL8 mirrors to DL3s. I can recommend to anyone thinking on trying this to shoot Phil a pm and get his harnasses. Take your time and be patient as you go. I also had a little difficulty initially getting the panel to release from the upper clips, but it worked out with a little more effort. Once again...thanks Phil.
  21. I was able to get the SLP exhaust on. I’ll try to get some clips when I can. Nice rumble at startup. Doesn’t seem to have much highway drone and is fairly quiet at cruising speed. The v4 annoyance is present, but I don’t have enough time to say whether it’s a deal breaker. It’s definitely louder than stock which was apparent instantly. just a short startup clip, although I don’t think my phone did a great job picking up the deep rumble
  22. That makes me even more envious. It’s got show and go. Lol. Those LED taillights are REALLY starting to call to me. I know @pgamboa has a those covered already for sure. ?
  23. That truck looks like it could eat mine. Lol. So many cool mods, so few digits in my pay check. Haha.
  24. Installed some 3M protection film in strategic places to help avoid more chips. Here’s hoping it works.
