  1. Thanks for your help! It ended up being the fuel pump, I changed it out today and it ran just fine. So strange that the DIC wouldnt work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. New from Alaska

Hey everyone my name is Tim, I’m a Pastor, Firefighter, husband and father with 5 kids. I have a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 with a 6.0, I do almost all the work on it myself because we live in a rural village in Alaska which makes parts and labor triple. I have no professional mechanic experience, only what I’ve had to fix over the years. Hope I can be of some help on here! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks, tried both tests and nothing happened. Gonna work on pulling the pump and see about getting a new one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Well it seems that it may be the pump. I did what you said and there was nothing so I went and checked to see if I could hear the pump again and it made no sound. I guess those times it was on it was just working intermittently. Now I gotta drain the tank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah I put a new one on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Yes I can hear it and when I had the fuel filter off I had someone turn the key and it shot fuel out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Well dang I did what you said and it fired up for a moment and all the dash stuff came alive, so maybe it is the TPS. Is there I can rule out is it’s the TPS or the pedal? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Not sure, I’ve never used starting fluid on an engine without a carb. Do I just spray it in the throttle body? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Hey everyone I’ve been trying to fix my suburban but just haven’t figured it out yet, I think it may be my ECM but I wanted to check here first before I bought one. So I have a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 with about 165,000 miles on it. I was driving it and all of a sudden it died, all the electrical power stayed on but the engine just died no lurching or sputtering. I shifted to neutral restarted it and drove it home. Went to drive it the next day and it stalled again but this time it didn’t restart. It cranked just fine but wouldn’t start. I let it sit for awhile then tried again and it started right up and ran great but after a while it just died again. Replaced the fuel filter and the pump seems to be working as well. Started it up and it ran for awhile then died again. Now the gauges are stuck in place and the information center lights don’t come on at all. Before the DIC stopped working I plugged in a code reader and it gave me a code for the TPS and pedal but now it doesn’t show any codes at all. I checked every fuse and cleaned up every ground I could find. So I think it’s the ECM but wanted to get a second opinion. Thanks for any help you can give! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
