  1. I know...a bit disappointed about that.
  2. Just got back from the dealer. I asked them to do the flush per the TSB. Instead, looks like they did the same thing I did 80K miles ago... Filter change and refill as they only added 8 quarts. I'm happy I have a new filter in... Not so happy I still have old fluid in. It was $340 tax and all.
  3. I'm of the same thought as snowcamo... The flush is an $800 bandaid for something that's going to go anyway. There is also the lifter situation hanging over my head... Another ticking time bomb. I've had the system off since shortly after I bought the truck new, but I don't know much longer that's going to hold. Seriously considering dumping this truck. I just put 4 new tires 3 weeks ago and the truck looks pretty mint for being 7 years old. Such is life.
  4. The TSB was never done... Never had this issue until now.
  5. 113k miles Pans dropped, filter changed and fluid refilled I have not messed with the thermostat. However, the trans doesn't go above 185 or so under normal use. I don't tow much
  6. At about 30K miles, I dropped the pan and changed the filter and refilled with fluid. I understand this is only 25-30% of the fluid, but it isn't all factory fill. What sucks is that I don't really abuse this truck. I have a boat...4500lbs total and I have done a couple of long distance trips with the boat, but I don't abuse the tranny. I've only had the boat for two years. Anyway, I am tempted to do the flush, but I'm afraid I'll spend $800 only to end up doing a rebuild regardless. Tough choices ahead...
  7. Team, 2018 Silverado with the 5.3 and 8L90 transmission. About 5 days ago, I started getting the torque converter shudder. Based on descriptions that I've read before, in having the same symptoms... The rumble strips. Even my wife felt then. What options do I have to fix this? Thanks, Ric
  8. How so? The parking brake was not engaged. The creaking happens anytime I press on the brake pedal.
  9. Team, What in the world is causing this creaking in my rear-driver side brakes? https://youtube.com/shorts/u5pbMO31GaE?feature=share
  10. Team, I need to bounce a couple of issues off you... - My adjustable pedals have quit working. When I push/pull on the toggle switch, all I get is a clicking sound which I have traced to somewhere under the driver's seat. However, the pedals do not move in either direction at all. It's been like that for well over a year. Any ideas how to diagnose? - My transmission (8 speed) doesn't always shift to first when I come to a complete stop. At least 50% of the time, the transmission only downshifts to 2nd. It takes off just fine. I suspect this is in the programing as a fuel saving trick. Anyone have some facts about this "issue" they want to share? Thank you so much! 2018 Silverado LTZ, CC, Z71, 5.3L/8L90
  11. Sourceoneaoutoparts had the handles... Maybe even the mirror various.
  12. Vanguard/Martha, You guys are awesome. Thanks!
  13. Team, I would like to replace the chrome door moldings (the ding catchers) on my crew cab for black ones. Anyone it there knows all four part numbers? Thank you, Ric
  14. Jim, Thanks! If you look closely you'll see it looks slightly different than your typical Centennial. I love the truck, bit I think Chevy over did the chrome.
  15. Team, I have a set of Chrome Window Molding for 2014 - 2018 Silverado or Sierra CREW CAB. These came off my Centennial Edition Silverado, so they are extra special. [emoji6] They are in great shape with no damage. Having said that, one of the clips did break during removal. Fortunately, the clips are cheap. You can buy them here: https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/gm-belt-molding-clip-11547339 You can have all four for $75 plus shipping. Ric
  16. I have a K&N Cold Air Intake in great shape with additional features. Send me a message if you are interested and you can have it for a great price. Ric
  17. Treat yourself for Christmas...$125
  18. I wish there was a kit for it... I'd go for it. Next time, I'm siphoning the old fluid out, add fresh fluid and call it a day. The filter will be ok without replacing.
  19. From the OP... Check out the two connectors circled in this picture. Notice the one on the left has a grey piece to it. That's what fell off and nearly gave me a heart attack. The connector itself was in place and undamaged. This is the picture that saved the day. [emoji106][emoji846]
