I will say it again like I said it million times! This defect ALMOST cost the limbs of my two little children. GOD forbids but GM is just waiting for someone or people dying because of this

With the ordeal I and my children have gone through brought about by this defect and GM basically admitting it, will it warrant lawsuit? I don't know if I am making sense or if I put it right but you know what I mean guys.

I am missing the part where GM will get to the bottom of this and rectify it. We are paying or paid so much for these Trucks but we are not getting our money's worth. What about our right as consumers? It is not part of the normal wear and tear, what about our time, money and headache dealing with this problem? what about our safety, safety of our family and the safety of the riding public?All about these threads are basically "he said, she said," kind of thing. There is no definite answer. One thing for sure, this is happening. What more or what kind of proof do they want? Are they waiting for some serious injuries or fatalities? Call me crazy but I dread ridding my truck, I revived my clunker and now preferred driving it rather than my GM truck and my wife doesn't want my children ridding my truck anymore since it almost burned down because of this. I just want to sell my truck as soon as I can, rid of it and get over this. I am just sick and tired with all these calls from GM, the government responsible, the dealership where I got my truck like mocking me I am making things up. I just want to resume my chores and normal routine.

And yet another case that can confirm my claim proving I am not just making things up like what the dealership where I got my truck is trying to convey. Go straight to GMC legal department and report your case. I had mine out of warranty but fixed at no charge through GM dealership. I got it fixed but currently trying to sell. I had so much very bad memories and nearly cost my daughter's limbs. You can e-mail GM Legal department at [email protected] addressed to Ms. Holly Hillis and don't forget to attach pictures, lots and lots of them! I am hoping and praying there will be no more worst case that will happen like what had happen to me and my children brought about this defects but sorry for sounding like the devil but I feel like this defroster debacle is like time bomb ticking just waiting to explode like just wait, wait for it....

Happened to my 2015 2500 HD Silverado. Parked on my driveway with my 2 children inside. I hit the auto start to warm it up then my 2 kids were screaming there is a fire. I rushed in to see the interior of my silverado engulfed with smoke, I saw sparks on the rear passenger side windshield then it exploded.The sparks caused fire burning spots on the back rest of my child sit and luckily, I was able to put it out. The back rest of the child sit shielded my 5 years old little girl from getting burned. I went to my dealersip & you guessed right! It is out of warranty and has nothing to do with them anymore. I hope nobody will get hurt in the future. Once fixed, I will go straight to trading it.

I was able to put it out. The back rest of the child sit shielded my 5 year old little girl from getting burned. I think GM is just waiting for something worst to happen before acting on it or maybe we should band together, file a lawsuit to save others from getting hurt
