  1. I like the look of that. Kind of between the Edge CTS3 and AeroForce which has been recommended as well. Visiting their site however, makes me question what they can monitor. When clicking the link for GM PIDS, it's all around the Turbo engines 3.0L/6.6L and gas engines. Guess I may have to call them alongside Edge and AeroForce Aeroforce appears similar to the Banks and they even offer a mount that bolts directly to the grab handle on my truck which is a nice touch. Appears Edge offers similar mounting. As does Banks
  2. Was looking for a gauge to monitor the boost of my newly installed Whipple Supercharger and and while there seems to be a plethora of analog and digital gauges for that specific item, I was kind of looking for something different and came across the Edge CTS 3. I've had previous experience with Edge way back in 2008 with my Chev Duramax and it was mostly positive. However I'm wondering if anyone knows if this can accurately monitor boost and does it do it through the ODB2 port or require a special sensor to be ran. Information seems to be rather scarce around the boost monitor of this unit. Wondering if it's worth my time or just stick with a simpler gauge and pillar mount accessory
  3. I searched for about a year, including posting here looking for references, and finally found someone who had a solid reputation to do it and pulled the trigger on purchasing the Whipple in June of 2023. However he was 3 months backed up, so it didn't go in till middle of September 2023 and I got it back a few weeks later when I returned from vacation. At the urging of the shop owner, I opted for the Trans tuning as well and I'm certainly glad I did. There was a few hiccups along the way, mostly logistics between HP Tuners and Whipple, but in the end it was all sorted out. I also splurged and got the red version. It certainly pulls and I had a lot of fun driving back home and since. The tune he did on the Transmission made a world of difference too. Shifts are crisp and in the earlier gears, harder and more concise. When just driving around town, it shifts earlier in the RPM range and I like it alot. The SC itself is pretty quiet. I can hear it because I'm used to it, but friends I've taken for a ride can't really tell unless I point it out. I wish it had more of the SC whine, but I can live without it. Like AEMedic mentioned in his SC build, I think the Whipple tune leaves some to be desired. It has some surging and I mostly notice it under light loads up any incline at cruising speeds. It's like it doesn't know what to do under certain circumstances. It's a minor annoyance for now which I plan to have tuned out later this year. Since around 1000 miles, I've had the AFE CAI, Borla S-type cat back exhaust and the Edge Pulsar LT module installed. I knew the truck felt fast, but I really didn't know how fast. I bought a dragy several weeks before I drove it up to have the work done and got a baseline of what the truck could do in 0-60, 1/8 and 1/4 in a spot I've found that is 3/4 mile long and is around 112 feet in elevation. Did about 12 runs over several days. They were all done earlier in the morning and with 3/4 to full tank of fuel. I also should note that I have the 6.5' bed on mine. When I got it back, I did the same thing over a few days and was pleasantly surprised at the results. Attached are a few screenshots. While I love it, I feel like the Whipple tune is pretty conservative and while I get that and the reasons why, I think I want a little more. In discussing this with the shop that did the work, he suggested the next step would be meth injection kit with a slightly smaller pulley and a custom tune. He said he might be able to get another 30-50 rwhp by custom tuning alone, but that using meth injection would allow for a reduction of the intake temps and stresses throughout, and also allow easier tuning. He said they do alot of those kits on a multitude of rigs. I'm on the fence about whether to move forward with it and would love to hear from those that have more knowledge and wisdom about the subject than I certainly do. I've done a little research and it makes sense. I just don't know if I want to deal with having to fill up the reservoir and more importantly, wonder if doing so would cause other failures in the drivetrain. I should add that this is my 'sports car' if you will and not a daily driver
  4. Interesting and thanks for the clarity.
  5. I'm a little lost on this. You mentioned on your first post that it was a popping noise when turning in the front end, but the dealer did the TSB for the rear and that fixed it? Was there nothing done in the front? I ask because my 2021 may have this issue, it's not my daily driver, but I've experienced this a couple times over the past few years. Plus the annoying squeaking in the rear leaf spring when I get in it
  6. Edge Pulsar LT for 2019 - 2021 Chevy/GMC 1500 gas truck Model EDG-22451 Had on my 2021 GMC Sierra 6.2L AT4. Worked without any hiccups during the time I had it. Recently upgraded to Whipple Supercharger and tune and no longer need it. Asking $395 and will include shipping to inside the US
  7. Yeah I need to do this as well for the same reasons mentioned above
  8. I've been looking into this as well. Anyone have any experience with the Compustar systems? They provide an E-Lock addon, but there isn't much info into how it works, or if it'll even work with our trucks. https://www.compustar.com/component/e-lock-relay/#:~:text=Starter-kill relay which prevents,Works with all Compustar systems.
  9. How long have you had it on? No issues I assume? Ran into a friend of mine today who's in the mechanical program. Was talking about how I should have the ADAS system recalibrated after doing a level? I had planned on redoing the headlights, but hadn't thought about the cameras and other systems needing to be recalibrated. That's something I haven't seen anyone discuss on here...
  10. I'm sure everyone knows that, but most that are going for that leveled look aren't towing or carrying heavy loads on a daily or even weekly basis. I surely don't and if I was, I'd just get air bags to compensate. It's all about the look. I didn't want to go to 35's because I swapped out the factory flaps for the molded ones that hang down slightly lower to prevent rock throw from hitting the panels and that would require even more modifications. I think 34's are the best I'll get and I'm ok with that.
  11. Ugh, good to know. Any reason not to get the Bilstein version of those if I go with the upgraded shocks? https://cart.bilsteinus.com/details?id=2972832273118789803&fyv=true&Year=1490468497551627837&Make=7109127503953767713&Model=2312292685622996290&Submodel=2928454506658859972&Pos=Front Upper&En=3896745598793439258 Or is another brand a better option?
  12. I think the more I read up on this, that perhaps the best thing to do is just have the front shocks swapped out for the 5100 Bilsteins, the ride adjustable ones to get a 1.1" lift. Seems doing so keeps things more within spec while still getting a slight lift in the front. While it may not be completely leveled, it's better than stock.
  13. Good catch. Thanks! Edited a-arms? The UCA's, right? The kit I linked has new ones that come with it, is that not right?
  14. 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 and looking to level it the proper way. The truck came with 33's (275/60/20) and I'm looking at getting new slightly bigger tires too (34's (275/65/20's) and not sure if this would affect the way I should do it. I've read through several threads talking about you should replace the UCA's in the process due to angles being outside the factory tolerance and I completely understand that and willing to spend the extra $ to do it right. Reading through various reviews of the numerous kits out there, I think I've settled on the Rough Country one that includes the UCA's. I've never lifted or leveled a truck before, so I'm new to this and want to make sure I'm getting it right. So if you have experience or wisdom in this arena, feel free to chime and let me know if I should be doing something different.
  15. Thanks for the feedback! Did he do any custom tuning for you or was it using the canned tune ?
  16. I appreciate the info and link. Not particularly, there just seems to be wider support for them and I can get someone to do the Whipple somewhat locally without having to spend $4k on shipping my truck somewhere to get it done and back. That said, there is alot in getting it done right. I'm just always looking at the 'what ifs' of it all. If something goes wrong or doesn't work as intended...what then? Another 4k to ship it back to get fixed? Those are the things that I worry about.
  17. Ahh, ok. I misinterpreted. IMO, if you aren't modding your rig at all, there is no reason to get the true dual and chance it being louder than you like. Also noticed from that guys video that the front driver side sticks down below the valance due to it not being pancaked like the OEM. That would bother me, but something I myself may have to debate/contend with post Supercharger
  18. May try finding a local dealer with the performance package installed on one in the lot so you can take a listen to the Touring. There are plenty of S-type videos out there with the single to listen to. I did side by side comparisons on my PC for days trying to decide on whether the S-type was going to be too loud or not. I like it, but it's not for everyone. The gf thinks its too loud at startup, but friends like it
  19. I did some email tag with the owner Ernie at http://epc-racing.com/ and stalked this instagram (Ernie). He seems to have been in the game for a while and knows what he's doing. Said he's done several of these trucks and knew it was an involved process. We played phone tag a few times, but never connected and I just got too busy to follow up. I don't plan on doing anything till late Spring/Early Summer and will touch base with them more closely as that time approaches though. I tried contacting multiple other places close to no avail. Soon as the Holidays are over, I'll dive into getting a spare ECM to send to HPTuners since they seem to be always out of stock. Let me know if you end up conversing with them and what you find out.
  20. Unless you're doing something like what AEmedic has done and I plan on doing with supercharging. The single would probably be just right. I've had both the Touring and the S-type. Touring was too quiet unless I was getting on it. I love the S-type because you can hear it while just regular driving and getting on it, well, that just makes me grin from ear to ear. Cold starts in the morning do have a bark louder than the Touring for sure, but I like the sound once it settles. I keep mine garaged and tend to start it up with the door closed if it's outside of peaceful hours 8am to 10pm so as not to annoy my neighbors
  21. I'd second the Borla choice and the quad tips. I've had both the Touring and the S-type. I like the S-type because I like having the rumble while driving around which was less noticeable with the Touring. Just be aware that after changing it all out you'll have that DFM sound coming out of the exhaust when it's not in V8 mode. The factory does a great job of hiding it with all the baffles and flapper, but once you swap that out, it may drive you nuts to the point you have to get something like the Pulsar LT. For me, driving through the neighborhood and the truck sounding like a 4 cylinder got old super quick and was almost embarrassing. It sounded like it was not functioning correctly. Ordered the Pulsar two weeks after the exhaust was done and haven't looked back.
  22. I had the Touring in my 2018 6.2L and my 2019 6.2L and while I liked it, I wanted something with a little more output. I decided to try something new and went with the S-type on my 2021 AT4 6.2L and LOVE it! I didn't want something as loud as the ATAK but something with a little more V8 sound than the Touring offered. The S-type is a perfect blend IMO. Every time I give it some pedal it makes me smile.
  23. Nice looking rig. I do like the grill design of this, the AT4 emblem is a nice little touch. The illuminated GMC emblem would look great on that color. Not sure about the fog lights though. Any night shots to show what they look like?
  24. Best place to get a head start on it all and buy an ECM to swap with HP tuners when they come back in stock?
