  1. Oh yeah brake quality was severely diminished. I almost took out someone in the parking lot. Probably my fault for even trying to drive it with a million messages displaying (but hey, I kept it under 62mph)...
  2. Same happened to me this morning. 2019 Silverado LT Z71 5.3. Had the recalls done on Saturday. It was warmer this weekend out by me and I hadn’t used the app to start the truck until this morning. Started it via the fob in the garage and no issues. Drove 10 minutes to the gym. Hour later, started from the app since I was inside and further away. Came out to the gifts that you have all described. Eventually got the lights and messages off with a few restarts. Check engine light stayed on. Drove nervously to work. Going to see if light is still on after work. If not, going to try and duplicate with the app. Unreal.....
  3. If I recall, there were a few screws that were way up in there once you get that trim off. Definitely not noticeable right away. Had to feed the screwdriver up in there. I remember because getting them back in was a lot of fun....
  4. That thing is a huge pain. Took me and a buddy a while to figure out. Here is a pic of a small trim piece to pry off if yours is the same set up. There are small screws under that trim to drop the counsel.
  5. I’ve been wondering the same thing. I’m wondering if the wiring is in the driver mirror to add that auto dim. There was also an orange (I think), much larger harness tucked up in there that wasn’t connected to anything as well. I’m really wondering what that would be. Likely something expensive that would piss off my wife
  6. I think I squeezed it from the sides and just kind of wiggled it off. It just snaps on, no screws. It took some gentle work.
  7. Yeah, unused just tucked up there and glued. The dealer I got my truck from had an LT on the floor that they had all kinds of mods on. I noticed it also had the auto dim mirror. So I was talking to one of the sales guys and he kept trying to tell me to go check out the gm accessories page (which I had already done, and the mirror wasn’t there). So I went online to try and do a build of an lt, and couldn’t even find it as an option. I was really confused because I saw it on that lt on the showroom floor. So I figured that they wouldn’t have went completely out the their way to add the mirror and that the harness must have just been up there and when they were doing the other mods they just added it. So sure enough, there it was when I looked. I’m honestly not even sure if that mirror is ever even a factory option on this year, but it seems to work!
  8. Yup, as long has you have the harness up in your headliner.

  10. Yup, plug right in, no splicing or cutting. Really makes me wonder why they didn’t just include this. But they would have added $250 to the sticker, whereas I found the mirror for $50 ?. Finished pic below. The existing cover hides everything really nicely.
  11. Just recently got an LT and this drove me crazy too (along with the lack of led taillights). Popped off the onstar counsel and the harness was up there, fully functional. It even cuts power when putting the truck in reverse so it stops the auto dim feature. Below is the gm part number. Took about 5 mins to swap out once I got it. Part number 13581082
