  1. I meant U Bolts. What PN did you use for the replacement U Bolts and did they come individually or as a pair?
  2. I think the problem was that the XR1 was a straight through muffler..... I feel if it had baffles inside to change the air and sound wave flow it would have been better.
  3. I already went back to stock and deleted the flapper.
  4. What PN did you use for replacement shackles? I talked to the dealer and they were being weird about giving me the proper number; said they HAD to order by VIN. I almost walked into the lot and found one without a lift and gave them that..lol. Also wouldn't tell me if they come individual or in pairs.
  5. I did the delete. I was only slightly too loud but went with 3.5" pipe to replace the gap left by cutting out the muffler and got bad drone at 1500 rpm. Installed a Borla XR1 and got the proper volume but still had the drone. Went back stock without the flapper until I can justify $1200 for sound.
  6. Thanks. I have two clamps coming, just need to figure out what to use as test weights and then where to buy more if it works. Also, trying to figure out how much weight would actually be needed. I have decided to add a Borla XR-1 muffler to the equation which should be installed Friday. I wont make any other changes until that is complete. I hear Borla is very good with eliminating drone as they tune mufflers so I hope I have success with this. Or at least some positive change.
  7. I'm planning to be one-and-done. If I had a welder then maybe a different story. From what I've read, the diameter doesn't change the frequency being targeted but just allows for more attenuation which is why I'm trying to match the diameter of the existing exhaust for max attenuation.
  8. Has anyone with a 2019 or newer 6.2L Sierra/Silverado successfully built a 1/4 Wave Resonator/J-Pipe to eliminate drone after a muffler delete? I am in the process of planning and trying to see which length will work best. My drone is the heaviest around 1500 RPM which is high 70's on the highway. It's not bad now but I know if I ever tow, it will be annoying. Also, if anyone knows a good welder that would be willing to build one and ship it to me, I'd love their contact. I'm in a small area in Oklahoma and when I say "1/4 wave resonator or helmholtz resonator", I get some pretty odd looks. I'm looking to get a 3.5in "T" so I can install the resonator at home. I have attached a rough drawing of what I'm looking for.
  9. I'm in the same dilemma. I don't mind it "Corsa Sport" loud when I'm on it or even on startup and idle but when I'm just cruising on the highway with the kids, I don't want to really hear it at all. I've posted on the Facebook groups to try and find someone with a muffler delete local to me (Lawton OK). I also plan to visit the dealer to look and hear the Borla Touring cat-back. If the delete is too loud, i'll spend $1200 on the full cat-back but saving $1000 bucks is definitely tempting and worth the investigation!!
